We unexpectedly lost one of our pups, Gibson, last night. He just turned 6 in August. The hard part is just not knowing exactly what happened and questioning everything with the should haves and could haves and what ifs. A person can second guess themselves all night and day long. As soon as we knew something was wrong we were calling vets and trying to get him in somewhere. We finally found someone who could see him and we loaded him up and took him. Once we got there he appeared ok again and the vet thought he had just had a random episode and sent us home with him and some pain medication to closely monitor him for any signs of returning pain and to feed him a bland diet. He came home and drank some water and laid down on a bed next to Jasons desk for a nap. About an hour later he woke up and got sick. We were right by his side helping him and then he just started to crash. We loaded him up in the car and rushed him to the closest ER Vet. When we got there he was in severe distress and barley hanging on. They rushed to help him and get him comfortable but there wasn’t anything they could do. We are heartbroken and will miss his silly presence in our home. He was such a lover, cuddler and big goofball. Rest easy my big boy. We love you forever.
Hooray for Gibson in finding his furever home! He has hit the jackpot and will be loved forever! Stay tuned for adoption pics.
Please welcome Gibson to Rescue! He is one year old and is an owner surrender. He is a perfect bulldog, but was given to his previous owners by a family member and the new family works so much they knew Gibson would be better off in a new home.
