Hendrix

3/19/16 Update:  His furever pops writes: “It’s with great sadness that I write you today to inform you of the passing of Hendrix, a rescue that gave us 6 incredible months. Earlier today, he suffered a heart attack and was gone in an instant. He left a bright spot in my family’s hearts and will be remembered forever. RIP HENDRIX.”

Hendrix was ADOPTED!!!! Hendrix met his forever family about a month ago at a Hollywood Feed event and there was a spark.  He was on medical hold for 30 days while he recouped from heartworms. Once his hold was up his family jumped to meet him and BAM!!! Hendrix hit the jackpot he now has a fur brother,  two human siblings and a new Mom and Dad. Congrats to the entire family.

Hendrix joined rescue today as a stray. He was found and taken to a local shelter, who called LSBCR to see if we could help.  Hendrix is heartworm positive, so he will need to spend the next 30 days on strict crate rest. Once he has completed his heartworm treatment and gained a few pounds, he will be ready for his new forever family.

9/26/2015 Update:  Hendrix is doing well! He’s a sweet boy and has been eating like a horse! He will be fat and happy in no time.  We have been keeping him in the guest room so he can rest with his heart worm treatment. However, we let him out several times a day to interact with us.

Hendrix does not like to be in his kennel. We went to dinner tonight and put him in his kennel and he somehow pushed his way out! Strong boy. Hendrix’  cage is bent up a little. He is fine and not hurt and that’s what matters.

10/11/2015 Update:  Hendrix is a sweet boy. He loves playing with his best buddy Molly Love. It’s a snort fest every day here at our house with these two bullies going after it! Hendrix continues to eat well and put on much needed weight. This sweet boy is getting better every day. He is very playful and a gentle giant. He plays so gentle with our 3&5 year old boys. They love Him! Whomever gets to adopt this sweetie pie will be very lucky to have him.

10/18/2015 Update: Hendrix continues to be such a joy! He has been with us for almost a month and hasn’t had one accident! He is so well behaved. Hendrix LOVES our kids and his foster sister Molly Love. They play and snort all day long! We love to watch them play. We had a visitor  this week (a dachshund) and Hendrix was such a well behaved gentleman with her. It was a site to see with two bullies and a small dachshund playing all weekend!
