12/25/25 FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS ~ While this season is filled with joy for many, it an also be a time of deep loss. Today, we remember sweet alumna Karli and hold her family close in our hearts.
From her pops on Monday: It is with deeply saddened hearts that we write to let you know that our beloved Karli, whom we rescued from you in October 2022, was laid to rest last night.
She passed very peacefully and surrounded by love at the McKinney Emergency Veterinary Clinic last night about 6:30 p.m.
We loved her as if she was one of our own children these past three years, and are saddened beyond belief at how quickly her heart deteriorated over the past few days. We know she knew how deeply loved and cared for she was during her final years as a member of our family.
One day, we will reach out to you again to help another Bulldog in need of a forever home, but our hearts are just a bit too raw at this moment.
Thank you deeply for all you all do to help these beautiful and precious and defenseless animals who have so much love and joy to give to us humans. Lord bless you.

AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! Good things come to those who wait. And Karli has patiently waited for the perfect family that would love her forever!
Karli met Tim and Linda last week and on Monday, she made the move. When we turned into the driveway, Karli remembered she had been there before and started dancing in the back seat. Karli knew she was home!
Being older, Karli wondered if there was anyone who would love her again. And when Tim and Linda asked about her, she was thrilled!
Karli was a great houseguest, but being dog reactive at times, she didn’t have the leisure of hanging out with the other Bulldogs in the residence. Karli got to go to work most days and she loved meeting new people. Now she’ll get all the attention she needs with her new family.
Much happiness to everyone and especially to Karli. She deserved a forever home that will allow her to be the queen she was born to be!

Bulldog friends it’s me, Karli and again I have joined rescue! I have been here before back in 2018 when I was 2.
But there were some changes in the family, and it was determined that I needed to find a new family. I did nothing wrong, there was a move, a new home being built and the temporary place my family is staying did not want me to come along. In fact , they said NO DOGS. Can you believe they said NO DOGS? Who says that?
There was tears today when I packed up my life and headed out the door. I didn’t see it coming, but I held my head up high because I knew that I would find an amazing family to love me in my senior years. My fur looks fabulous, I can still run like the wind, and I love to go on walks when the weather is nice. So, once again I will be looking thru the applications and looking for a new family that will love me—the second time around.
Karli has been adopted! It was a match made in Bulldog heaven when Karli met her mom and dad. Karli was rolling on the floor, wiggling, jumping and she was ready to go home. Marc and Alessandra are no strangers to rescue and they were just as excited to take Karli home. Karli will want for nothing now and she will be spoiled rotten. We’re excited to see many more pics and updates from this great couple, as Karli blends in and becomes a wonderful new family member!
My name is Karli and I am only 2 years old. Everybody keeps telling I am beautiful and sweet, so it must be true.
Let me tell you a little about myself. My old family had some things going on so they gave me to another family for me to live with them and their girl Bulldog. I learned something about myself there that I’m not real proud of it. But these rescue people said they would help me with it. I’m a little bit of a diva. I like all the attention and I expect everyone to be nice and do things my way. When my new fur sister got upset with me, I couldn’t help myself, and I got upset with her. I have since discovered I react like that to other dogs. If they are nice, I’m nice. I just have to learn to be nice to them even if they are not nice to me. Just release it and let it go!
I am in great health, but I am recovering from a bad UTI. I will be hanging out at the clinic to learn how to get along with other dogs who don’t like me. I also need to be spayed and checked out. I sure hope there is someone out there reading this who might like to have a gal just like me. I love belly rubs, walks and snuggles on the couch.
9/17/18 Update: Karli continues to be a little bit of a wild child. She is not a fan of being cooped up so much. So when she gets a chance to run and act crazy, she takes full advantage of it. She has ripped a few stitches, but is almost healed. She is also recovering from a UTI, but you would never know anything is wrong if you spend some time with her. She absolutely loves her people, but she would prefer not to have to share them with other pets.
10/21/22 Update: Karli here, just checking in from the pumpkin patch.
Things are all good in my foster home. I have been having 3 meals a day while in my foster home, and that is very much to my liking. Mealtime is the best time of the day!
On Saturday I am going to do a home visit for rescue, gonna wear something fancy and do an inspection. This family is going to love me. I have never met anyone who did not. I am crate trained, house trained, and most of the time I don’t get on the furniture. I said most of the time. There are always those times that something on the sofa needs to be inspected. And in my foster home they don’t care about me getting up there anyway.
So, tomorrow I will be reporting about a home visit I went on. So positive thoughts for me please. Karli the beautiful bulldog.
