Please life up Bailey’s wonderful family in your thoughts. Her mom writes:
My heart is broken. Today we lost our precious girl, Bailey, aka Krispy Kream. She had been struggling for a few weeks now and today she couldn’t recover from an episode. Bright Star Vet and Animal Hospital of Denison did so much for her over the years and especially the last month. She just couldn’t make it over this one.
We adopted her Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue in March 8, 2020. She walked into our lives as if she had always been here. She was so scared of everything. She had suffered abuse and starvation, you would move to fast and she would dart away and hit the ground. Over the years she became more confident.
She had our hearts and we will miss her more than she will ever know. She will always be our sweet Ms Bailey. Her sister Ava is going to be so lost without her partner in crime. Hold your pups tight and tell them how much you love them.
Krispy Kream packed up all of her squeaky toys and headed to her new home in the country. This sweet girl has a new mom and dad, two new Bulldog brothers, a Border Collie brother, an Australian Shepherd brother, and an Aussie/Catahoula mix sister, and even some horses! Her new bro, Otto, is quite smitten with her and anxious to share Bulldog snuggles. Her other Bulldog brother, Zeke, missed the new family pic cause he was busy outside chasing the horse trailer that sits in the driveway 😊. She even heard her new mom say something about a bucket of balls! Yes, the hard life is over for this sweet donut and she will be loved and spoiled and loved and spoiled some more! Happy life, sweet Krispy Kream. You so deserve it!
Yes, I’m sweet as the donuts! I sure am glad I’m here in rescue. I was lost on the streets, but I had a microchip. My original family was called, but they thought it would be better if I went to rescue and found a wonderful forever family.
When I was lost, I had gone a long time without water, so when I got to Dr. Larsen’s I was very dehydrated. Thankfully, I was given IV fluids and I’ll be on them until I am up to my full strength.
I am so glad I’m here, getting the care and love I need. Everyone is so good to me, so I’m just going to cuddle down in this soft bed and get some sleep. I’ll write soon with all my new adventures.
3/3/20 Update: Krispy Kream has been with us for almost a week now and she has settled in quickly and learned the ins and outs of foster life. This girl is a SWEETHEART in every way. It looks like she’s had a hard four years, with some scarring and litters, but you would never know it from her attitude because this girl is just as sweet as can be. She’s potty and crate trained and absolutely loves to play with toys, especially the squeaky kind! She is great with dogs and cats and she adores her people, wanting to be with us all the time. Anyone will be very lucky to give this adorable donut her happily ever after!
