Peach Pie

Peach Pie

10/6/05 FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS ~ It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our beloved alumni, Peach Pie, who was adopted in 2021. Her family gave her a beautiful life filled with love, comfort and care, and now their hearts are broken. 💔

From the momma: We are devastated to report that Peach Pie crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday.

She developed a malignant mass on her chest. It was pressing on and displacing her heart and trachea, making it very hard for her to breathe, and for her to get oxygen through her body.
Even though it broke us, we made the call to relieve her from her pain and discomfort before her body gave up on her completely.
Peach Pie came to us at a time we were grieving our last Bulldog, and she healed our hearts. Now we have to carry on and heal ourselves without her. She will
always be the purest, most-loving, most gentle good girl ever.
Thank you for letting her spend the rest of her life with us.

AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! Talk about something to be thankful for….. on Thanksgiving, my foster family made this big, delicious dinner. I didn’t get to taste much of it because they said it’s not for dogs. Hrmph!

However, foster mom brought in a cooler that smelled like heaven. I thought I’d just lick the whole outside of it to see if I could get a taste. Well, when dinner time came, she opened it up and gave me a bite of the turkey! Yum, yum, yum!

I thought it must be the best day ever, but boy was I wrong! She woke me up yesterday morning, gave me a bath, trimmed my nails, and told me some special visitors were coming. Sure enough, a nice couple came in and all they wanted to do was play with me. I am always up for that!

After a little while, they put a harness on me and said, “Come on. Let’s go to your new furever home.” Wow! Now that’s what I call something to be thankful for!

INTRODUCTION: I would love to tell you all about my background, but I really don’t remember much. I do know, by looking at my body, that I’ve had some babies in my day. I have a baby-mama body.

About three months ago, I moved in with a family and I lived there for two  months. Then, I left that family and moved in with another family for a month. Then, I packed my bags again and this time, I raised by paw and told my mom, “Take me to rescue!”

My mom follows Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue on social media and she knew I was right… she wanted my next home to be my last home. I want to live in that home forever.

In my last home, I had some really small fur friends and we got along great. However, sometimes, when I got to running and my stuff started swinging back and forth, those small furry things would go flying.

I thought it was super funny because I am sort of small myself. I meant no harm, but my mom thought to keep everyone safe from flying through the air, I needed to join rescue. They can find a size-appropriate fur friend for me.  I love other dogs and my hope is my new family will have dogs for me to play with.

I am going to sit with Dr. Larsen this week. Dr. Larsen will look at my teeth and tell me how old she thinks I am.

No one knows if I am spayed, but she will know.

10/20/21 Update:  Good morning!  It’s me, Peach Pie, aka “Peaches” and “Princess Peach”. After spending time with the awesome people at Dr. Larsen’s, I checked out of clinic last Friday and headed to a foster home! I am a Baby Mama turned Couch Diva! I have definitely had my fair share of puppies. Foster mom says they must have been the most beautiful puppies in the world because I am so beautiful!

While I was at clinic, they fixed up my eyes and made sure my baby makin’ days are over. I am the easiest lady to please. All I need is a soft place to sleep and someone to rub me. Those are my two favorite things! I am hoping to find a furever home where I can be loved and show you how sweet I am. Oh, I think I hear the breakfast bell ringing! I’ll report back later.

10/27/21 Update:  Happy Wet Wednesday morning,

It’s wet outside and this crazy lady expects me to go out there! Do you see the indignant look on my face?! I said, Nope, this couch is good for me. Well, I might get down for breakfast and a little massage, but that’s as far as I’m going. Wake me when the sun is shining! ~ Peach Pie

11/1/21 Update:  Did you say Bulldog Bonanza, foster mom?! I’ve never been to one of those. Sign us up!!

I had such a fun time during Halloween and was tuckered out. But I have been resting up all week and will be ready to mix and mingle with my fans!
