Puzzle

Puzzle

Puzzle was one of the lucky ones who was surrendered during her golden years.  Puzzle joined rescue on 10/3/22. She always had her bed, lots of food, and all kinds of love.  Even though she never left rescue and found a forever home she knew she would always have a home at my house.

Puzzle was kind, never causing a problem with anyone. Her days consisted of resting, eating, watching the top of the fence for a squirrel to run by and then resting some more.  Puzzle’s biggest challenges were her skin, having medicated baths and walking slow. Most times she would just get started somewhere when all the other dogs were coming back.  She did not care one bit.

It was a privilege to foster her, love her and treat her like one of my own. Puzzle crossed the bridge curled up in her bed without a care in the world.

Please welcome Puzzle back to rescue! She writes: Yes, I have come back! When I got to my new home, Huey Dan and I couldn’t agree on much. Things like toys, treats and attention… I just wanted it all.

Huey was easy going and pretty much just left me alone, but sometimes he would walk too close when I had a toy, and I would have to give him a low growl so he would know to back away. His hearing must not be that good, but there were times he did not heed my warning and the fight was on.

I’m thinking my time with my adoptive family was like a vacation for me. I saw a part of Texas I had never seen before and made some really good friends. My family was super sad to see me go, but they knew there was tension in the house. Plus, with Huey only having one eye, he probably had trouble seeing me coming!

I brought back all my things, plus a lot more stuff. If you have room for a super sweet, smart senior lady, I may be your perfect match!

It was a dream come true for these two bulldogs.  All because a great couple sent in their application to adopt them.

Huey and Puzzle were a bonded senior pair. Each one of them was a medical nightmare in their own way. Skin infections, missing fur, Huey needing an eye removed. Puzzle’s skin was on fire, and she never stopped scratching. And who in the world would take on these two?

Well, here they are Kerry and Erin who have loved them since they first saw them. They just don’t make many people anymore that love seniors, especially two. Huey and Puzzle danced with delight when they realized this was their new family. They could hardly stand still. In the pouring rain they jumped in the car and never looked back.

I know this is their dream come true. A wonderful new family that will love them in there golden years.

Bulldog friends it’s me Puzzle and today I joined rescue.  I have been waiting for a bit, but today was the day that I decided I would join.

My skin is a big problem, and so are my eyes. My skin is infected, and it feels like I am on fire. Today I am headed to Dr. Larsen’s to have a medicated bath, get my nails clipped and sit in her lap.

Even though I have some health challenges, before you know it I will be brand new, and I will be looking for a perfect home that loves a beautiful brindle lady that is 6 years old!
