Please send your virtual hugs to Stella’s furever family, as she recently left for the Rainbow Bridge. Her mom writes: We adopted our sweet Stella from you two years ago last week. We had to say goodbye to her due to kidney disease. What a sweet, crazy pup. Our one and only Bulldog gone too soon. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to love and help a beautiful Bulldog!

Stella has been adopted! From her foster momma: Sweet Stella was picked up this weekend by her new mom, dad and fur sister, Buttercup. Stella was SO excited! She took with her beloved ball and headed off into the sunset of West Texas. A long drive was made bearable by that favorite ball, as well as some major nap time! She was was even giving out kisses to her new mom to thank her for picking her to be theirs forever.

Today is my happy day. Today, I joined rescue! My name is Stella and I have been waiting for this day for a very long time.

Some time back, I found myself sitting in a shelter, and for the life of me, I did not know why. I was just walking around town and then it happened… someone picked me up and I landed in the shelter.

I found a family fast, and then guess what happened? I had a small accident in their home and they loaded me up and back to the shelter I went. It was not my fault. When you gotta go, you gotta go. Then a few days later, another family took me home. Things were great until I lifted my paw to turn on a lamp and the lamp fell over and broke… and back to the shelter I went. What was I supposed to do? Just sit in the dark? All I heard was a bunch of screaming about how much the lamp cost. Again, not my fault.

But third time’s a charm and now I am in rescue.

When the shelter director said, “Stella, what an I going to do with you?” I raised the same paw that broke the lamp and said, “Please send me to rescue where they understand I am a special breed and need a special family.”

So, here I am: Stella the Bulldog who is simply misunderstood. Please follow me through my rescue journey. Watch for photos of me with my new family, a wonderful family that will understand a few mistakes are going to happen and they won’t give up on me!
