Victoria

Victoria

Another incredibly sad loss for us this week. Please keep Victoria’s family in your prayers. Her momma writes: It is with a heavy and distraught heart, that I contact you to tell you of the passing of a rescue of yours, one I came to call my own 3.5 years ago…. my sweet girl “Victoria.”

She was such a loving, cuddle bug. She was the light of my life and a little piece of me is now forever gone. She had only been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy yesterday and passed less than 24 hours later. She suffered, but only for a little while. She was at home in my arms, while I was urgently on the phone with the vet for the 2nd time, trying to decide what to do for her. God had other plans and made the decision for us. I just wanted to let you know, that I will forever be a follower and lover of the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue because you brought the most precious being I’ve ever known in to my life. She taught me so many things. How to love unconditionally. How to make time for friends and neighbors; because of her gregariousness, I was able to meet and form bonds with all of our dog-loving neighbors. I seriously could go on and on. But alas, I pulled her in her little red wagon one more time this morning, for her ride over the rainbow bridge. I know there is a God in heaven, because he brought a little bit of heaven to me the day I brought her home. She rescued me and I will always fondly remember the spring of April 2014.

My name is Victoria and I have a Secret !! And my secret is, I have been saved ! It took me 8 hours by car to get to rescue but every mile behind me was a mile closer to my freedom.  I really don’t know what happened to this bulldogs life other than it was a life of misery. No one ever gave me a name,  and no one seemed to care about that at all.  When I got to rescue I had ticks all over my body and fleas crawling around and to me that was normal. I had always had those. My transport people cried in the car when they saw me and continued to cry all 5 hours they had me in their car. The next transport person put on gloves before she touched me. That was alright, at least someone was touching me. And today I was given a bath. All the ticks and fleas are gone and I am clean.  I have had puppies,  my body shows some signs of motherhood but very soon I will be fixed and my puppy bearing days will be over. I am so excited about my future and my life and the fact that I have a beautiful name. So, now you know me and I would love to know you. I never want to live outside again and I am so excited about having a wonderful family that will love me forever.

I will be spayed, current on vaccinations and Heartworm preventive.   My adoption fee is  $500.00 a very small price to pay for your very own Victoria’s Secret !
