Annie

Annie

Our sweet little Annie!!  What a darling little bully.  Annie is about 45 pounds and could possibly use another 2 or 3 pounds but even with that she will be a small bulldog.  Annie came to Lone Star Bulldog Club’s Rescue from a shelter in South East Texas.  We have worked with the shelter before and they didn’t hesitate to call us when this little girl came in.  She had been used as a breeder dog and then turned into the shelter in terrible shape.  The shelter workers were taken with her and made arrangements to keep her until we could work her into our rescue.  Foster homes and money are tight so that was a huge help for Lone Star Bulldog Rescue.  The shelter volunteers helped transport her to meet one of our fosters.

Poor little Annie had a raging ear infection, skin infections and was heartworm positive.  Our vet immediately started her on a regime of strong antibiotics and quickly got the infections under control.  After Annie had a little recuperation time she was treated for heartworms.  Annie is currently recovering from heartworm treatment and must remain calm and quiet for the next month.  She should be ready for a new home sometime around the first two weeks in October.

Annie’s foster mom reports that she is an extremely sweet girl and just wants to be with you all the time.  Annie will need eye drops for the rest of her life for a condition called “dry eye”, a very common ailment in bulldogs.  She will also need her ears washed out once a week to keep her ears free of infection.  She is leash trained and potty trained.  The foster mom thinks that she may be playful once she starts feeling better.

Annie will be up to date on her vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and spayed.  We feel she is about 5 or 6 years old and could certainly appreciate some “good” days instead of the hell she has lived through.  Please give Annie a chance at a good life.  Her adoption fee is $400.
