Aries

Aries

The long search has ended!
Clorissa had Aries from a pup. Somehow, he escaped or was stolen out of her yard. And somehow he later ended up in a shelter 75 miles away.
From there, he was adopted by a family and he lived with them for three years. They decided he no longer fit into their family and he was surrendered to rescue last month.
Somehow, Clorissa came across our website and social media posts at just the right time. What did she see? Her Aries!
She reached out to us with pictures of him in his younger days. It was evident it was the same dog.
The story came to a happy ending today as they were reunited. You could tell Aries immediately recognized his first owner. Aries is on his way back home!
Thanks to everyone who had a part in this long-awaited and happy reunion.
My family saved my life when they rescued me from a shelter. For that, I will be forever grateful.
However, bringing me to their home was not the best solution. I did not always get along with the other dogs. And when the new baby came along, the tensions grew.
It was all getting to be a bit too much for me, so the family did the next best thing to saving my life… they surrendered me to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. They knew the rescue group could find the family who is just right for me.
I’m about 5 years old and I get along with some dogs better than other dogs. I’m not that fond of the high-energy ones because I’m a much more laid-back kind of guy. I like short walks and lounging on the couch.
I know rescue will find me the perfect family very soon, so hopefully you’ve already submitted your application. We just might be a perfect match!

12/24/20 Update:  Aries is in the house of the “Saltine” just in time for the holidays! Thank you to Uncle Ronnie, everyone’s favorite Uber driver, for my freedom ride. What a perfect day to break free from the vet’s office. The sun is shining and my future is looking bright. Santa already has my new “temporary address,” so he knows where to find me for my stocking full of goodies! Foster Mom says I won’t be here long, so I need to enjoy it while I can.

Just look at me! Foster Mom says I am the most beautiful Bulldog and the ladies will go crazy for my speckled ears and gentle soul. Foster Mom told me my feet are the biggest Bulldog feet she’s ever seen!
I’m a tall, handsome fella and may be your perfect fit if you need a Hallmark movie-watching buddy (or football, I’m not particular). I like to lounge!

12/29/20 Update:  Christmas was all a buzz at the Saltine with food and family and I wasn’t phased by any of it! I did stand duty with a watchful eye (sort of) to make sure everyone was social distancing, but Foster Mom said I wasn’t anxious at all.

I made the rounds and said “hi” to the people so they could tell me how gorgeous I am! I played a little soccer for a few minutes, then Beckham and I took a nap on the couch. Pleasing people is exhausting!

Santa found me and filled my stocking with goodies, just as Foster Mom said he would. It has been a great few days so far!
