Arwen

Arwen

Todd drove up from Houston to meet Miss Arwen and it was pretty much love at first sight! His home has been quiet for a bit and he decided it was time to fill it with snorts, snores and farts ~ and maybe a little bark here and there. Arwen seemed to be the perfect match so she happily loaded up and headed south!

Arwen is our latest arrival from a local shelter. On the shelter’s surrender form, her previous family noted they had to give her up due to breed restrictions.

When we picked her up, she seemed sad, scared and needed a good bath. Thankfully, she’s now clean, safe and receiving tons of love. She now can rest without fear. It’s time to put her past life behind her and plan for her next chapter!

Arwen is about a year old and weighs around 50 pounds. Soon, Dr. Larsen will take a look at her eyes and handle her spay. Arwen should be ready for her next home very soon!

7/25/24 Update:  Arwen is sweet and spunky! She gets along with everyone in the house and is about 95% house trained. She absolutely loves people and she is a protector!

She would love to find a family that let’s her sleep in the human bed. Foster Mom makes her get down but she will sneak up in the middle of the night.

9/14/24 Update:  Arwen has completed all her vetting and is now on her way to finding her perfect family!

She’s a sweetheart who gets along beautifully with all the pups in the house and adores people. All she wants is to be by your side!

Arwen is 98% house-trained and keeps her kennel spotless, but she could use a bit of help with her manners.

She tries to correct the other pups when they misbehave, though sometimes they don’t appreciate her feedback! Luckily, she knows when to back off and will retreat with her tail between her legs if things get too heated.

She does have a quirky side—when she’s scared, she’ll bark at what frightens her. And watch out: she believes all beds, blankets, and linens are hers for the taking!

But despite her little quirks, there’s not a mean bone in her body.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion with a big heart and a touch of charm, Arwen may be the one for you!

10/25/24 Update:   Arwen is young and full of puppy antics! She’s still looking for a family who will find her quirky behavior entertaining. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, but she can be sassy! She isn’t an annoying barker; she’ll just let you know when she doesn’t like something, like squirrels or something scary on TV.

11/1/24 Update:  Arwen spent some time this week at Hitchcock Manor. She is just the sweetest little girl. She got along great with our six girls and worked hard at puttying outside.. She even has almost mastered the doggie door! She loves cuddles and attention. Anyone would be lucky to adopt this sweet girl.
