Bea and Herky have been adopted! Herky and Bea would not stop being around Monty and Criss. It was so nice that Bea came out of her shell. They were smitten with them from the start. Herky & Bea couldn’t wait to go on a nice walk around our amenity center trail. You have to expect to be stopped by people and talk it up taking any Bulldog for a walk let alone two. They seemed to enjoy Herky’s fascination with reflections off watches. He will chase he light like cats do! Even though we had them for a short time we loved every moment of it. So thankful for Monty and Criss wanting to take on a couple. Until we meet again Herky and Bea…
Bea and Herky joined our rescue family together today. They are both 6 years old and came from the same family, but are not litter mates. Their owner has been going through a number of personal difficulties and had to move out of state and was not able to take the dogs with her. She left them temporarily with a family member who already had three dogs to care for. When the owner was unable to return for them, and the family member could no longer care for them, they reached out to rescue. Both dogs are just the sweetest brindles and have been well cared for. We received several pages of vet records, blankets, a box of toys, medicines and other items for them. While we would love for them to be fostered and adopted together, that is not a requirement.
3/26/17 Update: Hello everyone my name is Bea. My foster parents don’t really get why I don’t respond to my name. So they call me Blue Bell like the Texas ice cream company. I kind of like it because from what they say I am sweet as can be. It was nice that I didn’t have to go to boarding with my brother Hurkey. We were scheduled, but my foster pops wasn’t having it. He brushed me real good and gave me a spa day. Oh I can get use to this type of life. I had so much undercoat I couldn’t believe it. Oh and how I love getting brushed! Afterwards we got to go outside and soak up the sun. I have so many foster siblings now; I really like it. There is one here that could pass as my twin sister. Sometimes my foster Mom gets us confused if she doesn’t pay attention. They seem to laugh at me due to half way falling to the ground anytime they start to pet me. Can you blame me really? If someone started scratching and rubbing you; I’m sure you would want to lay down and relax. It’s nice we got the master suite immediately. Since Herkey and I have been so good we don’t stay in a crate even though it doesn’t bother us. I will warn you I do pant. Think it’s still due to me getting adjusted. Hopefully you enjoy my story and pics and have room in your home for my brother Herkey as well.
4/13/17 Update: Bea here, aka “Blue Bell.” I wanted to give you an update on me because it’s been a couple of weeks. I must say I enjoy my new surroundings. It’s like an adventure every day for me. Because I am a shy one, I explore a new part of my foster home little by little. For the most part, I stay in the master bedroom on my comfy bed. It’s not like I am scared ~ I just know what I like and peace and quiet in a room suits me just fine. I do like new people and crave attention, but when things get a little crazy, I know my safe area. I have no problem eating and the food here is great! I do have a few quirks about me. I will basically fall to the ground if you pet me and I have to fluff my bed with my paw before I can sleep in it. It takes me a little nudge on my rear to go outside, but that doesn’t mean I have any accidents inside. I want my own forever home and wouldn’t mind if there are other fur babies there already. I get along with everyone and am a submissive girl. You won’t find any aggression in my little body. Please share my story and help me find my furever home.
