Billy Bucket knew it was his big day. From the time Cameron and Alexa walked in with a new collar and leash, he could not sit still. Billy was all over the place with excitement!
Billy is deaf and he was not sure he would find a family willing to work with him and make him a part of their family. Worry no more Billy… you found a perfect family who is now dedicated to making sure every day of the rest of your life will be amazing.
Billy packed his blanket generously donated by Fur Angel Blessing Blanketeers, his new toys and treats and he was gone. Billy hopped up in the SUV and never looked back. It was as if he had known his family forever.
Billy had been a favorite of everyone because he was the happiest and sweetest Bulldog who’s never met a stranger.
Much love, Billy. We’ll see ya at Bull-O-Ween!
This is Billy Bucket, on the way out of the overflowing animal shelter in Rowlett and into the arms of Bulldog rescue.
I couldn’t get a very good shot of Billy because, at roughly 2 years old, he’s very active and a wiggle worm. He’s not interested in being still when there are people around. He loves attention for people and is good around other dogs too. He enjoyed the bath he got at the shelter and did zoomies after he was clean and out of the tub.
He’s a great traveler. I didn’t hear a peep out of him for the entire trip to the vet. When we got to Sulphur Springs, the clinic was closed for lunch, so we made a detour to the magic window at Whataburger. He enjoyed his French fries and took them from my hand very nicely.
He will be a great dog for a family, or for anybody, but I suspect he will be happiest in an active home with elementary-age kids.
He’s safe now!
