Blue Jean

Blue Jean

Hello bulldog people!  Just wanted to let everyone know that last week I checked out of rescue and into my forever home. I don’t know if my new family is in the “witness protection program” or if they are just camera shy but either way they said it was my big day and they did not want to be in the pictures!  Hey, that was fine with me. The more attention I get the happier that makes me.

I knew that today was picture day and I got up and had a blueberry spa treatment, followed by a good teeth brushing and I even added some gloss to my toe nails. Today I decided it was all about me. I had a cup of yogurt at the magic window, and I rode with top down to the photo destination with the wind blowing my fur. I tell you life is great! The other bulldogs understand that I am the queen. So see ya later rescue, I am out of here! Love forever, Blue.

Good morning bulldog lovers, it’s me Blue Jean joining rescue!  A few weeks ago, I was just sitting around and I wondered “Should I stay, or should I go?”  Staying meant being around a puppy all the time and going meant starting over one more time.  Both had their good points and both had their bad.

About a year ago my family started having some medical problems and they sent me to live with some friends. And that is where I have been living for the last year.  It was a great place to be.  Everything was just like I liked it.  And then the puppy joined the family.  Puppies are good, but at the age of almost 6 I just got tired of all that energy. I found myself sitting in my crate a lot just so I could have some alone time and some quiet time.

It was obvious that the puppy was there to stay and that’s when I decided it was time for me to go.  So, I packed my backpack, gathered my toys,  loaded up my dog food and said “See ya’ll later, it’s been fun, but I am ubering on down the road.”  And here I am.

My name is Blue Jean, I am almost 6, I have one dry eye that needs medication but on the scale of 1-10 I am a 10. My forever home will be the last home, and the only thing I ask is it be puppy free and have a great couch just for me.

2/24/22 Update:  I’m still wearing my clothes because it is so cold outside. I just wanted everyone to know I was able to sit with Dr. Larsen this week and she said I was stunning. My good looks about made her fall over!

I was able to get some meds for my eye and some meds for my skin. My skin has been itchy lately, so some medicated baths are in order, along with the medication.

I have a surgery scheduled in the future and then I will be looking through the approved applications for a family who wants a Bulldog who is simply stunning…. A Bulldog just like me!

3/3/22 Update:  Hello Bulldog Fans! Blue Jean here checking in. I’ve been in my foster home for a few days now. I’m settling in nicely. I’ve had a spa day to help with my itchy skin. Met the residents of the house. I even asked one of them if they wanted to play. They showed me the best places to hangout in the kitchen. I can now say I’ve tried bananas, blueberries, apples, and cucumbers.

I know how to potty outside. That made everyone happy. I’m loving all the cuddles and attention. I’ve only had to put my foot down once. That was when I was asked if I’d like to go for a walk. Nope, nope, nope…not this girl! I’ll stay right here in my bed.

I’m beautiful, sweet and get along with everyone. Even the cat. Get your applications in. I won’t last long.
