Bo (now Bruno)

Bo (now Bruno)

It is always exciting to see the joy when a family picks up their adopted Bulldog! Bo found his forever home and he could not have found a better one. This was love at fist sight for both Bo and the Cordova family!

I was born on April 13 2022 and I was the one in the bulldog litter that was destined to be a ” ladies’ man.”  From as far back as I can remember everyone told me I was going to carry on the family name and help make some beautiful bulldog babies. While my other family members where learning to be pets I was kind of left alone because my future was “written in stone.”  Everyone else got a leash and collar and learned to walk with their family, while I got some words of encouragement about how I was going to “rock the bulldog world” with my size, good looks and big feet.

A super nice lady came one day and met me, told me I had a big head, wide shoulders and I was just the color she needed in her breeding program. My new mom paid the asking price and off we drove.  She carried me because I never learned to walk on a leash. But I loved being carried, so it was a win-win for me.

Then my story takes a turn. While my new Mom was looking at my head and shoulders and big feet  she might should have looked at the other end because only one testicle had dropped. Lordy, I was never driven back as fast in my life. After some unpleasant words, and no money given back my Mom took me back home and called rescue.

My Mom is a good person, but she does not want a pet. And bulldog people, I am going to be one amazing pet. Not a stud dog , a pet dog. I am 6 months old now, cute and sweet as can be.  I had a bath today and I bucked like a bronc.  But I got a new harness and leash so let the training begin. My name is Bo, beautiful beautiful Bo.

11/3/22 Update:  What lucky people we are! We got to have foster puppy Bo at our house for four days. Then we transported him to Bright Star for a little snip snip…. or for him, just snip.

Anyway, he is a DOLL. One big bowling ball of loose skin, big feet and a big ‘ol slobbery tongue.

Yes, he had a few accidents, but none in his kennel, save the first night, which is understandable. That’s pretty darn good for a pup, methinks. Such a sweet roly poly of a boy.

He walked great on a leash when there was another pup walking with him. A total failure when there wasn’t. Ha! I think he’d be great to have another dog to learn from. I dare anyone to not fall in love with this fella!

11/7/22 Update:  Bo is in his new foster home and he’s not a fan of the crate rest while he heals. He would really like to get out and play with his foster brothers, Emmett Smith and Sir S’mores A’lot. But he has lots of toys to keep him occupied while he waits. And when that gets dull, he can spice things up with a round of bitey face through the playpen.
