10/3/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster family: Bode Wan Kenobi accomplished his mission… he found his home!
After an intense search involving sniffing stations, suspicious smells, strategic naps and enough snorts to shake the galaxy, Bode Wan Kenobi returned victorious.
But his greatest victory wasn’t defeating Darth Maul…
It was leaving the comfort of Casa de Meza and embarking on Jedi mission training, Bode Wan Kenobi has officially completed his greatest mission yet… finding his family.
From the moment he arrived, Bode Wan Kenobi proved that you don’t have to be the fastest Jedi in the galaxy to make a difference. Armed with his Jedi instincts, chunky Bulldog determination and a serious lack of cardio, he was ready for anything.
So go forth, Bode Wan Kenobi. Your mission is complete. Your family has been found. Remember: sometimes you don’t need a fast Jedi. You just need a THICC ONE.
We are going to miss this sweet boy at Casa de Meza more than words can say, but knowing he is exactly where he belongs makes our hearts so happy.

7/26/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Bode Wan Kenobi to our rescue family.
He writes: I officially joined rescue on Thursday! Actually, I didn’t come alone. I brought my friend, Tallulah Faye, with me. We were surrendered to a shelter together after living with the same family.
From what we’ve been told, our family originally planned for us to have puppies because they thought we’d make some beautiful babies.
Somewhere along the way, they realized that wasn’t the right decision. They reached out to the shelter to help us find loving forever homes.
The shelter knew exactly who to call… Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue!
Before I left, the shelter made sure I was neutered and up to date on all my vaccinations. Then, before the sun even came up, Tallulah and I hopped into a transport vehicle and started the next chapter of our lives. We haven’t looked back since!
Now, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m 4 years old, weigh about 50 pounds, and my fur is as soft as silk. Everyone says I’m the sweetest boy! I love people, I love other dogs and my dream family is one that will love me forever and include me in all of life’s adventures.
The only thing left on my checklist is getting my microchip. Once that’s done, I’ll be all set and ready for my next family!
Before I go, I have one favor to ask. Dogs like me and Tallulah only get a second chance because someone opens their home to foster us. Right now, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue needs more foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Every new foster home means another Bulldog can be saved from a shelter and given the opportunity to find a family.

8/2/26 UPDATE ~ Word travels fast when a Bulldog checks into the world-famous Casa de Meza, and we’re happy to report that Bode Wan Kenobi has officially settled in amazingly.
This handsome hunk has been living alongside seven other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and he’s been such a gentleman that he’s already earned free-roam privileges. No drama, no chaos… just the quiet tap… tap… tap… of those massive paws as he strolls through the house checking on everyone.
Bode Wan Kenobi isn’t much for barking. Instead, he’s mastered the art of communication with his signature side-eye. Why turn that thick Bulldog neck when your eyes can do all the talking? 😂
He’s a solid boy with some of the most handsome paws you’ll ever see, but underneath that sturdy frame is a gentle soul. Bode Wan Kenobi enjoys the slower pace in life, seeks out affection whenever he can, and has the sweetest way of saying “I love you”… by giving your leg a few signature tongue drags. It’s his love language. 💕
Bode Wan Kenobi is a laid-back dude who would rather relax on the couch than run a marathon.
