This one was a tough journey, but what a beautiful ending!
Bonnie Blue came to us as an owner surrender, and my heart ached for her as she was taken from everything and everyone she had known. From the moment I met her, my goal was simple: shower her with love and make sure she knew she was safe. Bonnie Blue truly turned out to be a dream rescue, and in just four weeks, she wiggled herself into our hearts.
Today, Bonnie Blue found her home with an amazing couple, and I couldn’t be happier for her! She’s going to have a life filled with love, joy, and adventure. We will always love you, Princess Bonnie Blue.

I picked up Bonnie Blue yesterday, and I was immediately captivated by her striking blue eyes—they’re so vibrant, they almost look like they’re glowing.
She met her foster brother, Vincent, and they hit it off right away. I was a little unsure at first because we’ve never had a female dog before, but she quickly put my worries to rest.
Bonnie Blue loved the car ride home, gazing out the window the entire time. Once we arrived, she wasted no time exploring her new yard. She especially enjoys sitting by the back fence, watching the ducks in the pond. She handled the stairs like a pro and immediately checked out all her foster sisters’ rooms.
Though she’s still a bit unsure about everything and often sits by the door, she started to settle once I brought in her bed and toys. Bonnie Blue is a total snuggle bug and loves sleeping in bed with you. She quickly figured out that her foster dad is the best snuggler and made sure to claim the perfect spot next to him.
Bonnie Blue came from a very loving home, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they can no longer care for her. She is super sweet, calm, and we’re committed to giving her all the love and reassurance she needs to help her feel at home and know that everything will be OK.
1/22/25 Update: It’s been a full week with Bonnie Blue, and I’m completely obsessed with her! By Day 4, she really started to come out of her shell and let her vibrant personality shine.
Bonnie Blue adores my husband and is always seeking attention from him—he’s now the designated belly rub giver. She was a star at the vet this week, and is up to date on all her shots.
Bonnie Blue LOVES car rides—every time we go outside, she rushes straight to the car, ready for an adventure. She also enjoys her walks and is quite athletic! Thankfully, Bonnie Blue is not overweight, has no breathing issues, and her allergies are minimal. She gets along great with her foster brother Vincent, and it’s been heartwarming to watch their relationship grow.
Bonnie Blue can be a little possessive over treats and toys at times, but Vincent is a true gentleman and lets her have her way. She’s fully potty trained and hasn’t had any accidents. Bonnie Blue can be left alone at home without issue, though she’ll cry at the door when you leave. She sleeps through the night and loves to cuddle—she’s usually the last one up in the morning.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Bonnie Blue—she’s an absolute gem, and her next family will be so lucky to have her!
1/30/25 Update: Bonnie Blue is doing absolutely fantastic in her foster home! She’s the unicorn dog we all dream of—sweet, gentle, and so well-adjusted. After two weeks with us, she’s settled in beautifully and feels like part of the family. Bonnie has quickly picked up on our daily routine, and it’s clear that she thrives with structure.
Her mornings usually start with a cozy snuggle in bed—she’s often the last one to wake up, wrapped up in her blanket. If Bonnie Blue could design her perfect day, it would definitely include Netflix and chill time (she’s a fan of relaxing, no doubt!). She LOVES car rides and practically sprints to the car, excited for whatever adventure awaits. Bonnie is also a nature lover—walks are her happy place, and she has yet to meet a leaf pile she doesn’t want to explore! She enjoys watching the ducks by the pond and is always curious about her surroundings.
Bonnie Blue is fully potty trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and would do wonderfully in a home with kids of all ages. She’s friendly with all the dogs we’ve introduced her to and was completely unfazed by our two guinea pigs. Simply put, Bonnie Blue is a perfect princess—a loving companion who will bring so much joy to the lucky family she chooses next!
2/7/25 Update: We’ve been enjoying some gorgeous weather here in Texas, and Bonnie Blue has been making the most of it! She’s been soaking up the sunshine with plenty of walks, exploring the yard, and just lounging outside.
Bonnie Blue has also picked up a few tricks from her foster brother—she’s learned that if she positions herself near the grill, foster dad might just sneak her a tasty treat.
By the end of the day, she’s completely worn out and loves nothing more than curling up for a cozy snuggle while watching a movie. Bonnie Blue continues to be such a sweet, joyful girl, embracing every moment of life with a full heart.
