Booker

Booker

Booker has been adopted!  It was love at first sight for Booker and his new family. It was so much fun to see this happy and energetic boy meet and play with his new fur sister, Nahla. I was already picturing the hours and hours of playtime these two will share. Booker has also gained two skin sisters and one skin brother, all as equally happy to make Booker a part of their family. When his new mom and brother came to pick him up, he was so happy to see them, we couldn’t wrestle him fast enough to get his harness on to go home. That is what Booker does… he makes you smile and giggle. This Bulldog is full of life! Happy tails, sweet boy. We will miss you.

Please welcome 2-year-old Booker to our rescue family. He arrived yesterday from the river city of Waco, where he must have wandered the streets for a long time. He weighs 40 pounds, which is 15-20 pounds too light. You can see every rib on his sides and every vertebrae along his spine. He has a happy face in spite of his circumstances. Unfortunately, he is heartworm positive. We hope he does not have any other major issues. We will know more in a few days.

Keep this guy in your thoughts and prayers, as we fatten him up and put him back on the road to health.

5/20/18 Update:  Three descriptions come to mind with bulldog Booker:  clown, wildman and lovable!  Booker is 2 years old, and happy as can be with the sweetest heart.  He is playful and happy and gets along great with his foster brother and sisters. The perfect family for Booker will be patient, understanding, active and no toddlers as he is mouthy like a puppy.  I can’t wait to see this little one become the bulldog he is meant to be!
