Hello everyone. My name is Bunny. I am about 2-3 years old and have been used for breeding up to this point in my life and had been dumped to fend for myself when I was found and turned into a pound in central Texas. Since I am a bulldog the shelter notified Lone Star Bulldog Club’s Rescue to see if they could take me. The rescue vet found that I had a VERY BIG heart.. One so big, that it will require me to take medication for the remainder of my life. I am on heartworm preventative, up to date on my vaccinations, as well as flea preventative and have been spayed. I’m working right now to put on additional weight because I was found at a time when I was very, very tiny and thin. But I have a great appetite and will be back to my normal weight in no time!??
It’s believed that I am a really, really smart dog and soooooooo sweet. I have a high need for attention and I am eager to please my owner. I absolutely love to be rubbed and scratched, but, you must know that I am still warming up to this new way of life and I still show signs of having been abused. At times, I will drop to the ground when you try to touch me, but, my tail is still always wagging. I feel I will slowly get better as I become more secure in this new way of life where the humans around me show me love and affection. Speaking of which, though I love my foster human, I would really like find a long term human family.
I get along with dogs and children without any issues. I go potty outside, like any good dog would. I’m not a chewer and I am VERY active and playful. I am crate trained, however, between you and me, I like to sleep in my own bed right next to yours. I also appreciate a solid routine. The vet has recently cleared me to be released to a human family and now I am looking forward to meeting the right human family and beginning a new life together with them. Do you think you might be that family?? My adoption fee is only $450.
