Callie May

Callie May

Callie May has been adopted!  Uncross those paws for Callie May, as today was adoption day! Callie May left the B & B today with her new furever mom, dad and fur brother Gus. She left behind her name and will now go by Fancy Pants. She has been blessed with a great new family and 30 acres to roam and play and maybe even meet a cow or two. She will have five children in her life who will visit her, as well as a stay-at-home dad. Fancy Pants waited patiently today for her new family to arrive and when they did, she was more than happy to see them again. She knew she was going to her furever home! Foster mom and dad will miss this sweet gal, but are over the moon with happiness for her having found her new home.

Welcome Callie May to rescue! Some surrender decisions are hard to make. Even when they know they are doing what is best for the dog, some owners agonize for months trying to make a final decision. This was the situation for Callie May.

Yesterday, her owner found the strength to do what she knew in her heart was the best and most unselfish thing to do for Callie. She gave her to rescue so she could find a better home, a home that was more stable and where they had more time for Callie. Callie’s well-being was at the forefront of their decision. Callie is a beautiful, well-cared-for and well-behaved 6-year-old girl. She is partially blind in her left eye, but you would never know it to watch her play in the yard with the other dogs. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is everything you’d expect to see with a well-loved Bulldog.

Callie May is in great health and ready for a foster family, and then her adoptive family. She will make a perfect companion for almost any home.

6/27/18 Update:  I’ve been told that I am 53 pounds of pure sweetness! During the first few days here at the B & B, I was under the weather. I was needing some medication for my eyes and now I’m ready to roll. Secret: I have a special meeting Friday morning. Keep your paws crossed! Stay tuned….
