11/30/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: Yesterday was the big day: Candy Corn packed her little backpack, said goodbye to the Lone Star State, and headed off to her new home in Lake Charles, Louisiana!

She was instantly ready for the adventure the moment she met her new mom, Laura, her new dad, John, and their kids. Candy Corn was absolutely thrilled to discover just how much attention was waiting for her.

This girl lives for affection. She’s basically a furry magnet for anyone willing to give her pets. If someone sits down, she’ll happily share the seat, and she has zero hesitation about climbing right into a lap for cuddles.

Candy Corn has been the perfect houseguest with not a single issue. We’re definitely going to miss her sweet presence, but our hearts are so full knowing she has found her family… one that’s ready to spoil her with nonstop love, endless petting and the royal treatment she was clearly born to receive.

11/7/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Candy Corn to our rescue family! When Candy Corn hopped into the rescue wagon at the shelter, she never looked back. She was ready to roll!

This wasn’t her stay at a shelter. She’d been there before, and back then, her family came for her. This time, they didn’t. But Candy Corn probably let out a little sigh of relief because when rescue came for her, she knew her baby-making days were officially behind her. No more litters, no more waiting. Just the promise of a soft couch, steady love and the spotlight all to herself.

She’s got a few bald spots on her back where a harness had been left on too long and too tight. When it finally came off yesterday, she rolled and wiggled in the grass… soaking up the feeling of freedom and the relief of a good scratch.

Candy Corn may be a petite Bulldog, but she’s got a huge heart. She charmed everyone she met yesterday, as if to say, “This Halloween, I found my freedom!” And for Candy Corn, life couldn’t be any sweeter.
