No doubt about it, it was love at first sight!
Amanda and her mom drove in from Mississippi last night and were here before the sun came up to meet Charles. Neil, her husband, was leading a mission team so he stayed behind.
Charles was so excited; he knew that this was his new Mom and he wiggled and rolled around and could not get enough of the love. This will be the 3rd bulldog this family has owned and I think I heard her tell Charles he was the cutest one. There were kisses and hugs and a lot of “I love you” and Charles was all in for the attention.
Charles will want for nothing and will have the best life ever. What a great way to start the weekend, making a family’s heart happy again.
Being a young kid (about a year old), Charles “Chuck” Meadows was caught off guard when a local animal services officer picked him up—and even more surprised when no one came to claim him at the shelter After all, he’s just a big, lovable baby.
While at the shelter, Chuck found a bandana that fit him perfectly, so he proudly wore it. It earned him a spot in the office with the staff, where he became the official greeter. His favorite part of the day? Lunch and snack time, of course! Everyone shared their treats with him, knowing he was a bit too thin.
Chuck is now eagerly looking forward to his future. He’ll need a little “snip-snip” and his cherry eyes addressed, but after that, he’ll be ready to sift through our approved adoption applications to be matched to a loving family who will cherish him forever.
