2/19/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: When Mickie applied to adopt, she was still heartbroken over the loss of her precious Miss Pickles. We all know nothing can truly ever heal that pain when our soul dog leaves us.
Months went by, and Mickie decided she needed another special love in her life. She and I spoke at length about Miss Pickles, and what loving a Bulldog looks like. I asked, “How will you know when you have found the right one?” She responded she would know by their eyes.
Not too long after that conversation, I picked up Charlize Bullion. I had a feeling Mickie might be interested. Charlize had those special eyes. Sure enough, I sent a few pictures over to Mickie, and she immediately called me. “Her eyes!” The rest is history.
Charlize is now Camo Grace. You can see how they both have that awestruck look for one another in both their eyes.
One of my favorite pictures is of Camo Grace gazing over a photo of Miss Pickles, as if to say, “I’ve got it from here. Rest.”
Makes me tear up thinking about how life can be, and how funny things can perfectly fall in place.
