Chopper

Chopper

Hello everyone, my name is Chopper and things have sure been tough for me over the last several months… until recently, when the nice people at Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue rescued me. Up until then, I had been on the streets – cold and hungry. Food was hard to find and I was very, very skinny.

But not anymore, I think things are finally turning around for me. I’m in a foster home now with a nice foster mom and dad who give me the attention and love (and food) I had been searching for all that time. I have a foster brother who couldn’t be a better buddy to me. We both mind our own business for the most part, but we love to go on walks together, we like to go in the backyard and while he barks at the neighbor dogs, I run around after him to let him know: “I’m here if you need me buddy.” I get to eat regularly and my foster mom says I am finally looking more like the handsome boy that I am; (I was REALLY skinny when I first came in to rescue). I am house-trained, obedient, submissive, a little bit stubborn (but I am a bulldog), and absolutely love being at home with a roof over my head, a dry floor to lie on, and someone I can love.

I’m gaining weight and getting my strength back now and as soon as I’m ready, will have treatment for my heartworms, which I’m not really looking forward to, but I know will make me feel so much better. And when that’s done, all that’s left in this fairytale that my life has become, is to find my fur-ever home and share all the love and happiness I have inside of me.

I am about 3 years old, up to date on my vaccinations, neutered and on heartworm preventative.  My adoption fee is $500.
