Comic was ADOPTED!!! Buddy Walter, formerly Comic, has gone home! This wonderful couple saw him on Facebook and it was love at first sight. He walked straight to the front and waited until we all said our good-byes. It’s so funny that these guys just know when they’re heading out with their people!
Comic joins LSBCR as an owner surrender. Comic’s surrendering family had always wanted a bulldog but where not in a position to provide him with the life he deserved. Based on that information, they made the hard decision to allow LSBCR to find Comic a forever home. He will be making a quick stop at the clinic to get a check-up and then will be joining his foster family and begin his search for a new forever family.
10/11/2015 Update: Comic (aka Walter) is the most chill dog we’ve ever had. He just sits and observes. Sometimes I wonder if the lights are even on, ha! He’ll get in the bed or not. He’ll lay on the couch or not. He’ll follow you around the house or not. He really doesn’t care. His favorite thing is to sprawl out on the floor and chew on his Nylabone. HE ALSO PLAYS FETCH! He actually gets the ball and brings it back! I was shocked the first time we played. Walter does great on a leash and loves his daily walks. He also likes to go on car rides. Walter doesn’t pay attention to his 4 legged foster sisters unless they get too close to his Nylabone…then it’s all bark but no bite. He just wants to let them know they’ve come into his “no fly zone”. He also does not have a problem with people of any age. He just doesn’t pay anyone much attention. We get down on the floor, scratch his back, & hug his neck. He just sits there and allows you to love on him. Whatever you want is what Walter wants. He has not had one accident in the house but must have a hollow leg. Walter will not go out the back door unless he needs to use the restroom which is about twice a day. He holds it until he’s ready to go. You can’t convince him otherwise. Open up the front door and he acts like a free man. He channels his inner lead actor role in Prison Break and just takes off…in true Walter fashion so it’s easy to catch him and bring him back in. He is currently on eye drops because of his eye surgery but I need to verify with Dr. Whitworth if he has dry eye and will need the medicine from now on. We are really enjoying this laid back, low maintenance little dude.
