Cousin Eddie

Cousin Eddie

11/15/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: It’s been a long time coming for Cousin Eddie, but today was finally his day. After 11 months in foster care, he didn’t even look back. He trotted up the steps into his new family’s SUV, found a seat by the window and settled in like he’d been waiting for this moment his whole life.

Lindsey from Bullhug wanted him looking his absolute best, so she sent over a brand-new harness and leash. And let me tell you… the second Cousin Eddie tried on his new gear, he knew. He knew this day was different. He knew something wonderful was about to happen.

This sweet senior boy has watched so many Bulldogs come and go. He had quietly accepted that maybe adoption day just wasn’t in the cards for him. But oh, how wrong he was.

While he was waiting, Raymond and Hortencia were watching him with full hearts. Earlier this month, they lost their beloved Bulldog, alumnus Champ David, suddenly and the house just didn’t feel like home without a Bulldog underfoot. When they saw Cousin Eddie, they knew he was the one who could help heal that empty space.

Today was an incredible day for an incredible dog, a senior boy who had almost given up hope. But Cousin Eddie got his miracle. And if anyone deserved a loving forever home… it was him. ❤️

It’s been a tough week for me. I ended up at a local shelter, and my family didn’t come looking for me. I don’t really understand what happened. After all, I thought I had a family who cared about me. I just hope they didn’t get tired of me and let me go.

The shelter staff was very kind to me. They gave me medication for an ear infection and told me I also have a skin infection, so I’m on pills for that too. I also still need to be neutered.

The nice woman who picked me up in the Uber said she loved me and hoped I wouldn’t have to spend Christmas without a family. But I’m not sure. Not everyone is open to giving a senior like me a chance, and I overheard someone say I’m probably around 7 years old.

My nose could use a little attention too, but I’ve got some medication for that now. So, if you see Santa, please let him know I have a new address—and that I’m hoping for a warm, loving home for the holidays.
