Dallas Blu

Dallas Blu

They say that every dog has its day, and today was Dallas Blu’s big day. It was her adoption day!

Dallas left rescue and headed South to live a fabulous new life with her family. Last week Dallas met them, and this week was Spring Break, and they came back for her just like they promised that they would.  No more living alone because she did not appreciate the company of other dogs. Dallas Blu’s new home does not have any other things with fur, and she will be the queen she was always born to be. Dallas Blu is funny, charming and a bit of a ham and she will now have the pleasure of entertaining her new family.

Dallas Blu you were a pleasure to foster, and rescue sends you love and happiness with a fabulous family that wanted to adopt you the first time they saw you.  Many years of happiness everyone!

The question was, “Should I stay or should I go?” And it was a no-brainer for me. I had made up my mind to go.

I had been with my family all my life, but a while back, the other two dog residents decided they hated me. Every time they saw me, they started a fight ~ and I am not a fighter. I want to believe it was because I am so beautiful and they are just jealous, but I really don’t know.

All I do know is they were smaller than me. They had the ability to hide in small places until they saw me coming and then the fight was on. It was two against one, and so it was time to go.

When everyone meets me, they’ll say, “This is one beautiful Bulldog lady,” and they will just sit and stare at me. And that is fine by me. I love attention, I love going on walks and I love to eat. What I don’t love is being jumped on, so my next family will need to have sweet dogs, nice kids and a whole lot of love to give.

My name is Dallas Blu, I am 3 years old, and I will be waiting for you to fill out an application. Maybe you will be matched with me!

3/3/23 Update:   Friends, I don’t know what happened to me today. I was so excited about going to my first event. I got up, had a bubble bath, gave my teeth a good brushing and did my nails! I was giddy with excitement because I was hoping to catch the eye of a family who  wanted a bombshell like me.

I got there early and then went into the restroom and slipped on my “naughty pants.” I decided at the last minute I would start a tiff with every Bulldog who came along.

And all that got me was a trip to the corner and a good talking to…. I want to say, “The devil made me do it.” But the truth is, I guess I want to be the only Bulldog in the home.

I watched the event from the corner and everyone who came by was starstruck by my good looks, my personality, and the fact I LOVE people ~ any size.

But other dogs? I’m rethinking that after today’s outing.

So Bulldog people, I will be waiting for a fur-free family in a home where I can always be the Queen Bee I was born to be!
