Dot Matrix

Dot Matrix

I’m popping in with one last update. All my Christmas wishes, New Year’s resolutions and daily manifestations have come to fruition! I have been adopted by a family of my very own. And they promised me – it’s FURever!

Not only do I have a fabulous mom and dad, I also have the most handsome fur brother! It turns out he is also a Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumnus, and let me tell you, he looks great.

I know I hit the jackpot and I am so looking forward to my new life. My new parents adopted my fur brother from Lone Star back in September 2021 and I can tell he’s doted on… and that means such good things for me in the future! I know I will be doted on too and I can’t wait!

My new mom asked my foster mom what kind of toys I liked and even what size sweater I would wear. I can’t wait to show off my new sweaters in my “where are they now” updates!

Thank you, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, for taking me in, taking care of my eye and for all who cared for me while I waited for my furever family. I am so excited for my new life, I just nearly wagged my tail off this morning! It’s a wonderful life indeed.

Bulldog lovers today I joined rescue.  And today just happens to be my birthday! Today I am 1 year old. I got this beautiful in just one short year!

My name is Dot Matrix and when I make some friends, I am going to let them call me Dottie. You might have a question about how I look. Where some bulldogs only have a couple colors, I am gray, tan, black, white and in places I have spots. And, oh, I am missing one eye. I wish I could tell you what happened. I just really don’t know. But as far back as I can remember, I only had one eye.  Maybe I was born with two, maybe a dog jumped on me and injured my eye.  All I know is today I have one eye. One eye is not the reason I joined rescue though.

I joined rescue because my family wanted a bulldog mama, and no matter what they did, I could not get pregnant. I tried to tell them that I was too young to be a mama, that I was still a baby myself, but in their eyes, they wanted me to have babies. So I packed my bags, gave myself a new name, and headed out the door.

I am so sweet and so cute and never met a stranger. You should have seen me buck like a bronc when the rescue lady put a harness on me. It felt strange. I had much rather just walk between your feet, but that is kind of dangerous I hear.

Please follow my journey thru rescue. Everything will be new to me, but I am ready to learn how to be a couch potato and make someone’s dream come true of having a new best friend.

11/7/22 Update:  First of all, I am CUTE! But even better, I am even cuter on the inside and we all know that counts the most!

I LOVE my foster dad! I took him out the other day trying to get his attention.  Whoops….. He’s fine though and my foster mom giggled a little.

I love her too! I kiss her face and love it when she plays with me. I am just a puppy and I love to play!

I am also trying to learn to go potty outside. Foster Mom and Dad take me out a lot, so I’m sure I’ll catch on in no time.

I’m a sweet girl who can’t wait to embark on a life of playtime.

11/30/22 Update:   Dot has made it to and from the vet for her spay and to fix her poor little eyeball! She is now using her one eye to check out the approved applications to find her furever home!

12/5/22 Update: This super cute little girl Dot Matrix is very active and full of energy. She has a spitfire personality, with a typical puppy attention span of SHORT. Dot is so darn cute and gets along well with others.

Currently, Dot is working on down (she loves jumping up), back (she wants to walk in between legs), sit (she knows sit until she hears the familiar sound of a squeaky) and stop (really working hard on this one).

Dot is just a playful, carefree little girl.  One of her fav places is the sofa. She enjoys watching everyone from the sofa and hiding in between the cushions.  She gives kisses or swats at you as you walk by. Too cute!

12/23/22 Update:  I cannot believe I don’t have a furever home for Christmas. I asked Foster Mom if I was going to the island of misfiits because no one wanted a one-eyed Bulldog. She assured me this was not the case and someone would love me like the train with square wheels! She said someone is looking for someone just like me. In the meantime, I continue to learn how to potty outside and I will chew on my Benebones. Nom, nom, nom…..

1/4/23 Update:  What’s my New Year’s resolution? To find a furever family, of course.

Foster Mom and Pops took me to visit some friends and I heard them say that I was PERFECT! They liked everything about me… my personality, my one eye, my size, even my constantly wagging little tail.

I love to play. I would be great in an active family who will throw me my ball all day long. I’m the energizer bunny… I dont stop! If you are willing, I will happily chase my ball until you tire out.

I am just about perfectly potty trained.  I’ve come a long way since my humble beginnings of potty-ing wherever I want.   And I just want to be near you. I will follow you to the ends of the earth just to be close to you.

Please help my New Year’s wish come true!
