I just wanted to let you know that I had the best surprise on Saturday. It started off with a bath and it was nice. I just sat there in the warm shower while Foster Mom poured shampoo on me. I’m a big guy, so lots of shampoo was used!
Then, I went to Puckett’s Nursery to enjoy all the beautiful flowers. I got lots of pets and I heard, “You’re handsome” a lot from the people who were there shopping.
Then, these nice people came up and started talking about me and I had to check them out.
That was the surprise…they were there to see me!
They drove all the way from Houston and we got to spend a lot of time together. We walked around and sometimes ran. I “sat” for them, we hugged and they fell in love with me.
They talked about traveling and how I get to go along. I am so excited! They are used to big dogs and told me that I will be the only one. Just me… I get all the attention.
I now have a new mom and dad and I can’t wait for the road trip. I will keep you all updated. Thank you to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue for helping me find my furever family.
No sad stories for me. My family just decided I needed more time and attention than they were able to give.
My birthday was in November and I just turned 3 years old. My fur is soft and I love having spa days! I am a great guy who rides well in the car. All I have to see is my harness and leash and I am ready to go.
In my town, I was almost a celebrity. Everywhere I went people stopped me and wanted to pet me. I have taken so many pictures just looking cute.
This week, I am going to sit with Dr. Larsen who will tell me I need a little surgery to help me lose “that loving feeling.” The only loving feeling that I need is from a furever family. I just want to find a forever family who will love me forever.
I have been around lots of other dogs and it was so much fun to have someone to play with! I’m kind of “fluffy,” so small dogs might get smushed when I get to playing. I mean no harm! I just love to play.
I hope I can get a photo with Santa soon. Santa is the best and he will love me too!
12/13/22 Update: Everyone in the house is learning to adjust and accept his BIG PERSONALITY!
He loves balls and can play forever, all by himself. He is another lover, and those eyes .
He loves all the toys, walks and car rides! He does play a little rough when he gets excited. We are thinking he could mow down small children.
He handles the kennel very well. He’s not a huge fan of getting in, but it seems to be a little easier with each passing day. He’s a big boy and he will push the 4’ by 4’ pen anywhere he wants to go… so no play pen time for him.
We are working on going outside to do his business. He is doing so much better with this. He loves to be praised and receive treats, so that’s really helping him do the “right thing”
He went to see Dr. Larsen on Friday. It looks like he will need soft palate surgery and a lil’ help losing that loving feeling. She gave him a couple of shots and some meds, which helped him with his breathing.
Dutton is a handsome boy and has blown up the internet. We are excited to see how well he continues to adjust to living inside a loving home… and eventually see him matched to his perfect family.
12/20/22 Update: Dozer Allen, Moose Wilson and Dutton continue to do great in their foster home.
They all get along great with each other and the big fur resident. The little white furry one is getting better with them, but she’s still a bit moody at times, and not always okay with sharing foster mom. She’s accepted Moose the most. I think it’s because he’s the most calm out of the 3.
Dutton is still our crazy one! He’s so handsome and is just a non-stop ball of energy. He loves to eat and play with all the toys. We are watching close as he is showing a little bit of aggression when it comes to sharing some of his favorite toys. Dutton is a ways from being able to be in a home with small children. I know he can learn to come down a notch or two, but it’s going to take a lot more work.
2/7/23 Update: Handsome checking in…oh, I mean Dutton!
Well I guess you all were wondering where I went? I have just been at my foster home recovering from my soft palette surgery, nose job and peach harvest. I am only allowed to have soft food and nothing hard to eat or chew on. Also, FM said no toys either. Well that is just not fair as I see a lot of toys in this house! I am trying to be quiet and rest, but I have a lot of energy and can’t wait to play. I get along with the other dogs and like kids. I am pretty strong and can knock over and pull-down FM, I almost did a few times. A few more weeks of rest and I will be ready for my furever home!
