8/25/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT… times two! From the foster momma: Thomas flew in all the way from New Jersey, and his mom wasn’t about to miss the chance to meet her new granddogs—so she caught a flight from Florida to join him in Dallas! Meanwhile, Cynthia stayed home making sure everything was perfect for the girls’ arrival.
When they finally met, it was pure joy—wiggle butts, tail wags, and nonstop kisses! Emmie Lou and September Rain immediately knew these were their people.
With hearts full and tails wagging, they all hit the road for a cross-country road trip to their forever home, where these lucky pups will be pampered and loved—just like they were always meant to be. 💕🐾

6/28/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome September Rain and Emmie Lou to our rescue family!
Today, our amazing transporter David and his wife Cynthia took a road trip to Abilene to help welcome two very special Bulldogs into our rescue family—September Rain (3) and Emmie Lou (2).
These two beautiful girls came from the same home. After their dad passed away, their mom faced a difficult decision—she could no longer stay in the home and had to move in with her son, but sadly, the Bulldogs couldn’t go with her.
Thankfully, both girls were lovingly cared for at their longtime veterinary clinic, where staff knew them well. Courtney, a dedicated clinic team member, made a heartfelt promise to their former owner: she would find a rescue that would love and care for them. Today, we’re proud to help fulfill that promise.
September Rain (the brindle beauty) and Emmie Lou (the gray and white sweetheart) rode back comfortably in the back seat of David’s truck. They were perfect passengers—calm, content, and incredibly sweet. Emmie Lou is quiet and gentle, while September Rain is a bit more active, but both girls are clearly full of love and ready for the next chapter.
Huge thanks to Courtney for her compassion and care, and to David and Cynthia for making the trip to bring them safely to us. These girls are now in loving hands, and we’ll make sure they get everything they need.

7/11/25 UPDATE: Update from Emmie Lou’s foster momma: Emmie Lou and September Rain have been settling into their foster home. It’s hard to talk about one without talking about the other as these two girls are bonded and don’t let the other too far out of sight.
At just 2 years old, Emmie Lou is the adorable “little sister” of the duo — always following September Rain around and sometimes even nudging her out of the way for prime snuggle time! 😄💕
This sweetheart lives for cuddles. Whether it’s the couch, a chair, or right in your lap, Emmie Lou will find a way to be as close as possible. She’s been known to perch right on top of her foster family just to soak up all the love. 🛋️💗
Full of affection and playful charm, Emmie Lou has enough love for everyone she meets — and she’s ready to share it with her next family.
