Fat Thor

Fat Thor

Fat Thor found his forever home.  When his family came to meet him, I think everyone knew immediately it was the perfect fit.  Thor’ s parents are no strangers to rescue. Thor’s two brothers  Chewy and Rocky were both adopted through LSBR.  When it was time to go Thor jumped right in the truck with his two brothers and off he went, never looking back.  We sure are gonna miss this handsome boy being around, but we couldn’t be happier for his new life.

Greetings and Salutations Bulldog Community, please allow me to introduce myself. I am called Fat Thor and today has been filled with change for me and more than a few tears. First, let’s address the elephant in the room (pun intended). My family are big Marvel fans and happened to be watching Avengers: End Game while they were trying to come up with my name. Once the previously svelte and sexy Thor took the screen with some rolls, they knew they had found my name. Just like him, I’m a sexy chunk of man with a compassionate cuddle side too.

It was a hard day for me and my family when I had to say goodbye. You see, I have developed some really nasty bladder stones along with some other things that made my care extremely expensive. Mom and Dad tried and tried but it just wasn’t possible for me to get the care I needed so my Dad did the most loving thing anybody can do, he called rescue and agreed to give me up so I could get the care I need. I have never seen such a loving act and although my heart is broken, I will always love him and my mom for doing that. This morning Mom and Dad woke me up and hugged and loved on me as they told me today was the day. Soon that rescue truck showed up and we started loading up. I stayed in the window as we drove away to get one last look at Dad and tell him thank you one more time.

Tomorrow I’m going to see somebody called Dr. Larsen and you know, I’m pretty excited about it. I can’t take this pain when I pee anymore and the foster peeps I am with say she is the absolute best Bulldog doctor in the world. Foster dad tells me that I am now part of the best group for Bulldogs there is and I believe him. He says there are people out there that I will never get to meet that help make surgeries like I need possible. So for that, let me say a big THANK YOU in advance! He says one other thing too that I think is pretty cool, he’s always saying to everyone Hug a Bulldog and that this great group has a motto, “No Bulldog Left Behind!”  That’s all for now, I’ll check in with you again after I get all fixed up. Love ya and Happy Valentines Day!!!

4/13/22 Update:  It didn’t take me long to fit right in at my foster home. There are lots of dogs here for me to play with, and I think that’s pretty cool. I am a super friendly guy and love all the dogs I’ve met. I am already becoming best buds with Ziggy, a Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumnus. He even shared his bone with me. Keep an eye out for more updates from me!
