6/26/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From volunteer Dianne: Earlier this week, Georgie Boy met his new dad, Brad, and it was love at first sight.
After losing his beloved Bulldog some time ago, Brad had been missing everything that makes Bulldogs so special… their goofy personalities, unwavering loyalty and endless love. It didn’t take long for Georgie Boy to remind Brad just how much joy a Bulldog can bring.
Today was officially Georgie Boy’s adoption day!
During his time in rescue, Georgie Boy made great progress. He learned to walk nicely on a leash, became comfortable spending time in his crate and, most importantly, captured the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Georgie Boy also got to meet his new grandmother, and he soaked up every bit of the love she showered on him. She told him how happy she was that he was joining the family and promised to spoil him every chance she gets. Georgie Boy briefly wondered if she might need a Bulldog of her own, but was surprised to learn she already has several cats at home! She assured him she’ll be visiting often, so he’ll still get plenty of Grandma cuddles.
Congratulations to Georgie Boy and Brad on finding each other. Wishing this wonderful duo a lifetime filled with love, laughter, adventures and countless happy memories together. This truly is a perfect match!

6/20/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Georgie Boy to our rescue family. He writes: My name is Georgie Boy, and I am 1 year old.
I was born in a breeding facility and was supposed to be the next big man of the house. Everyone thought I had a bright future ahead of me as a Bulldog dad. But after many years of breeding Bulldogs, my family decided it was time to retire from breeding altogether. Before I ever fathered a single puppy, they decided I would get a chance at a different life through rescue.
At first, I didn’t really understand what was happening. Then I noticed Sandwich packing her bags. All I could think about was being the only Bulldog left in a really big kennel. That sounded lonely.
Then I heard the best news ever.
I was going too.
A few days ago, we hopped into the rescue wagon together and started our next adventure.
On Wednesday, I went to the vet for all my vaccinations and got neutered. My foster mom carried me into the clinic and carried me back out again. She said it was a good thing I was so cute because she doesn’t usually carry Bulldogs around. But I had never walked on a leash before and honestly, the whole thing was pretty scary.
I weigh about 40 pounds, so carrying me isn’t the worst thing in the world. At least that’s what I keep telling her.
Right now, I’m learning all kinds of new things. I’ve never lived inside a home before, so I’ll need a family that can help me learn about potty training, leash walking and all the things that pet Bulldogs are supposed to know. The good news is that I’m young, eager to learn, and have a lot of love to give.
I love other dogs. I even like cats. But what I want most of all is a family that will love me.
A family that will be patient while I learn.
A family that will celebrate my successes.
A family that will see how special I am, even when I’m still figuring things out.
I may be new to this whole “family pet” thing, but I think I’m going to be really good at it.
Love,
Georgie Boy ![]()
P.S. My rescue friends asked me to remind everyone that they desperately need more foster families in the DFW area. Every time a foster home opens up, another Bulldog gets a chance at a better life. Some are retired breeding dogs like me and Sandwich. Others are sitting in shelters, waiting and hoping someone will come for them. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, please consider reaching out. You could be the reason a Bulldog gets a second chance.
P.P.S. Apparently rescue comes with a lot of vet bills. Vaccinations, neuters, checkups, medications, and all the things needed to help Bulldogs like me start our new lives aren’t free. If you’d like to help, my rescue friends are having a June Scentsy Fundraiser. Every purchase helps Bulldogs in need.
Shop here: furbabyfundraising.scentsy.us/ The Bulldogs (especially the cute ones like me) would be very grateful.
