It’s been a big day for Gerty! She has been adopted and is ready to start her new life. Her new mama is ready to welcome her home and give her all the love and attention she deserves. Congratulations, Gerty!
Gerty found herself homeless.
Was her life so terrible, she ran away? Did someone leave a gate open and the grass looked greener on the other side and before she knew it, she was lost? Did her family decide they didn’t need her anymore, so they just kicked her out? No one knows.
What we do know is that she’s not chipped and no one came looking for her.
Gerty is safe, loved and on her way to live the Bulldog life she deserves. Gerty is sweet, gentle and so thankful to be saved.
Please welcome Gerty to the first day of her new life!
1/31/23 Update: I have been hanging out at Mays’ Manor for a couple of weeks. I am feeling better and finally over that whole kennel cough stuff.
The food around here is pretty good. My new favorites are eggs and sardines. Man, oh man…. is that stuff good!
Foster Mom says I am a busy bee and all over the place. What can I say? I like to explore and see what everyone is doing.
So far, I do well with all the pups I have met. I am sweet, but I also stand my ground with the not-so-nice pups. I sit really well and am very nice when taking a treat.
I do need to work on jumping and not eating the leash when Foster Mom puts it on me. Once I settle down, I walk like a champ, but it does take me a minute.
I heard I’ll be going to the clinic soon to meet the famous Dr. Larsen. Soon after that, I should be ready for my furever home. Go ahead and put in those applications and hopefully, we are a match!
2/10/23 Update: Gerty is just sweet and all she wants is love and affection! She just wants to be next to you. Gerty had her spay yesterday and is home resting. She will be ready for her furever home soon!
Oh and she is planning on attending the next Bulldog Bonanza at K-9 Culture!
5/2/23 Update: Gerty is a very mellow, 6-year-old pup. She is very lovable and sweet. She loves attention of ANY kind! She is house-trained, crate-trained and leashed-trained.
Her favorite activity is going in the crate for treats, but trust me, if there’s no treat involved…. she ain’t going in that crate! She’s a stubborn little thing.
She originally entered rescue as a stray, but she is adjusting well to life in her foster home. How can you not love that sweet face?
