Gideon Gray (now Norman)

Gideon Gray (now Norman)

12/2/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: Gideon Gray, now Norman, has officially been adopted by a wonderful family! Mandy and Matthew fell for him the moment they met him, and it didn’t take long for Norman to settle right in. He now has furry siblings to play with, plenty of company to hang out with and a cozy window spot he loves to lounge by.

His new family says he’s perfectly behaved and fits in beautifully with his new home and routine.

Happy life, sweet Norman!

INTRODUCTION: Not too long ago, I was wandering the streets—lost and confused. Nothing looked familiar, and I was hot, tired, and unsure of where to go.

When an animal services officer pulled up, I was actually relieved. I didn’t know it yet, but that was the start of a new chapter for me.

My time at the shelter was filled with friendly faces and kind hearts. I made fast friends with the staff, and everyone kept telling me, “Don’t worry, your family will come for you.”

So I waited.

Days turned into weeks and then weeks into a month. Eventually, I stopped waiting for my old family. Instead, I found comfort in my new shelter family. I thought maybe this was it—maybe I’d stay there forever.

But every night, when the lights went out and everyone went home, I was left behind. Just me and the sound of barking dogs echoing down the halls. I don’t know if I was depressed, but I do know I dreaded being alone.

So, when the opportunity came to join rescue, I didn’t hesitate. I said yes.

And now, here I am—Gideon Gray—ready to find a real home. One where I’m not left behind when the day ends. One where I belong.
