Ginger has been adopted by the most wonderful couple. In three weeks she has gone from being abandoned in the office of a small town vet in west Texas to living in a high rise in downtown Dallas! She is living and loving the high life with her new family.
Please welcome 18 month old, owner surrender, Ginger to Rescue. She is the most beautiful dark brindle and white. She was surrendered to a shelter and picked up yesterday. She had a large litter of pups (9) in May that were a mix breed. She was spayed after that. Other than having a bunch of flea bites on her neck and chest she seems in perfect health. The vet checked her out yesterday and put her on an antibiotic to help clear up the bites and make sure they do not get infected. She is also now on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. She is house trained and very obedient. She got a much needed bath last night and loved it. She seems great around other dogs. She is a perfect girl who loves to walk, run and play, and get belly rubs. She loves to sit at your feet so you can rub her head. She wants nothing more in life but to be loved and love you back.
10/9/16 Update: My Ginger girl is just the sweetest girl ever. She lives to love and be loved. She has been at my house now for five days and she is just about perfect. She has had a couple of house training mishaps, but that is not bad considering all she has been through. We have changed our mind about all the bumps on her neck and chest. What were thought were flea bites, we have decided were actually fire ant bites! They are spread from her chin to mid belly and down both front legs. I cannot imagine what that must have felt like. She loves long walks and running in the yard. She LOVES to play fetch with balls or just about anything. But I don’t know what she loves more—running and playing with you or just siting quietly at your feet soaking in the love. I said she was perfect! What more could a family want?
