I have some fabulous news… I have been adopted! I met an absolutely wonderful family. They came for a visit, I crawled in their laps and drifted off to sleep and that was that. They fell in love with me! I now have my own forever dad and mom. This little princess will now be known as Lola Prince! Thst is right my last name is Prince, which is perfect for a princess like me!
Grace Anna here on a cold rainy day! And today I am tickled to be in rescue! Other that my amazing personality and incredible good looks you may have noticed something else about me. Yep, you are right—I am just a baby. In fact I am only 3 months old. My skin in smooth as can be and my fur is soft as silk. I am just the right size to ride in your purse. I had a great family that loved me a lot. On Thursday when they surrendered me all they said was “Please find her a wonderful family that loved her life we do. Now that you know a lot about me I need to let you know that I have Glaucoma in my right eye. And I have lost my vision in that eye. So, with that being said I am going to lose that eye, and that is fine with me. The swelling in that eye is very painful and this morning I really didn’t even feel like having breakfast. Glaucoma is not that unusual in dogs. My glaucoma started when I was 8 weeks old. Now don’t go feeling sorry for me I will be just fine with only 1 eye. I can be a pirate for Halloween and so I will always have a costume. Watch my journey thru rescue! And watch be become the prettiest and the sweetest bulldog there ever was!
Our doc thinks her eye lens popped free, allowing fluids to mix in the back of the eye. This caused the increase in pressure. If it had been caught in the first 12 hours, it might could have been corrected. After that, it does too much damage to the optic nerve. She is scheduled to have the eye removed on Tuesday. Please keep this little one in your thoughts.
11/20/19 Update: I checked into Mays’ Manor last week and I’m already top pup. I came in, told everyone with fur that I was best candidate to be in charge and everyone just agreed. I love food, playtime, snuggles, people, and pups! I’m having fun being a puppy, although the others probably don’t find me amusing because I have raptor-like teeth. Foster Mom gave me a nickname, Baby Raptor, not only because of my teeth, but because of the sounds that come out of my tiny mouth! I’m learning to potty outside and sit. I’m also learning that it is important to be nice to senior ladies in the house.
I’m also excited about meeting Santa Paws for the first time and hopefully, he brings me something special!
