Gunner Gary

Gunner Gary

10/24/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! Guess what, guess what, guess what? I have the most paw-some news ever!

My foster family told me we were going to a fun party this weekend called Bull-O-Ween!! They said it’s a special event they hold every year to celebrate all us amazing Bulldogs in foster care. Well, let me tell you… they weren’t kidding.

There were Bulldogs everywhere. Some were dressed up in silly costumes, and others (like me!) were just strutting our fabulous selves. There were yummy treats for the humans and us Bulldogs, too. What more could a guy ask for?

I got to meet so many wonderful people and Bulldog friends. But then… something extra special happened!

I met a beautiful Bulldog girl named Zoey and her mom and dad. Zoey was super sweet, and her parents? Oh my paws! They were amazing! We spent about an hour visiting and getting to know each other, and I started thinking…

“Hmmmm… I wonder what it would be like to go home with Zoey? Wouldn’t that be the bestest thing ever?”

And then… hold on to your leashes, everyone…

They said they wanted me! Me… Gunner Gary!

Yep, you read that right! They wanted me to be part of their family! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself! They even bought me a fancy new harness and leash… and guess what? Zoey got a matching one, too!! We are going to be one stylish Bulldog duo!

My foster mom told me this was a surprise, but she secretly knew I might be leaving with my very own family. She had already packed me a special goodie bag for my big adventure. It had my favorite blanket, toys and yummy treats to share with Zoey. (Sharing? I guess I can do that… especially if it means I have a sister!)

After all the excitement at Bull-O-Ween, we packed up and headed home. And when we finally arrived…

Wait for it…

I was home!

Yes, friends… I said home! It still feels a little unbelievable to say that word and know it means me, too.

I’ve been busy exploring my new place and checking out all the comfy beds. Now, the big question is… which one should I claim as mine? Decisions, decisions! A guy needs his beauty sleep, you know.

From here on out, I’ll be living the good life with my new family and my sweet new sister, Zoey. I have a family to love me, a home to call my own, and a whole new adventure ahead of me!!

My heart is full, my tail is wagging and my future is looking paw-some!

A huge thank you to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue for helping me find my way to my happily-ever-after. And thank you to my foster family for loving me, taking care of me and helping me get ready for this big moment. I’ll always be grateful for you!

Well, folks, I’ve got beds to test, toys to inspect, treats to enjoy and a new sister to hang out with.

Gunner Gary out.

P.S. If you need me, I’ll be busy living my best life!

8/24/26 INTRODUCTION ~  Please welcome Gunner Gary to our rescue family!

At just 2 years old, Gunner Gary could not be any cuter! And as hard as it was for his dad to let him go, he loved Gunner Gary enough to recognize that his boy needed more than he was able to give him.

His dad’s job changed, and with longer hours and more time away from home, Gunner Gary was spending far too much time alone. It was a heartbreaking decision, but one made out of love and with Gunner Gary’s best interests at heart.

And boy, does Gunner have a LOT of love to give!

This handsome guy is basically a social butterfly in Bulldog form. He loves people, kids and other dogs and seems happiest when he’s surrounded by his favorite people. He’s friendly, affectionate and ready to make friends with just about everyone he meets.

Gunner just needs a few vaccinations updated and a hot spot checked out, and then he’ll be ready to be matched the best family for him.

We think he’s going to be a pretty easy guy to fall in love with.

Could YOU be a foster family for a Bulldog like Gunner Gary?

We are always looking for loving foster homes to help us save more dogs. Our foster families must live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area so they can easily get to one of our partner veterinarians and participate in our public events.

We cover the veterinary expenses. Our foster families provide the everyday care: the food, love, transportation and general maintenance a dog needs while we get to know them and find the right adoptive family.

Your commitment is temporary, but the life you help save is enduring. You provide a safe place to land. We provide the rescue support. Together, we give a Bulldog the chance to find the family they were meant to have.

Open your home and become a foster parent! Message us today to learn more.
