Gunner was ADOPTED!!!Last night marked the start of Gunners furever happily ever after as he officially joined his new family. Gunner now has a loving family to call his own that is comprised of his mommy Amy, daddy Phil, big sister (or rather 2nd mommy) Morgan, and 4 fur-siblings including his bully brother and new best friend Henry! Gunners new family fell in love with him as soon as they met him and we could tell Gunner felt the same way. Being a bully, Gunner loves to eat! He also appreciates a good treat. Gunner will forever have the life he deserves and his new family will now get more cuddles and love than they could ever imagine from this sweet loving Bully boy. Happy fur-ever after sweet boy.
Gunner is a 3 yr. old male that weighs 50 lbs.
Gunner joined Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue as an owner surrender. His family has had some medical and financial difficulties and were not able to provide the life for Gunner that they wanted too. It was a very difficult decision but in the end it was the right decision. Gunner will go to the clinic tomorrow for a check-up and then on to his foster family. Gunner is good with kids, other dogs and even cats.
8/2/2015 Update: If you are looking for a young, sweet adora-bull bully pal then look no further; Gunner is your boy. Gunner joined us Thursday evening and has been such a sweet house guest. He is fully house broken and has not had a single accident. He is also crate trained and good on a leash. Being as smart and eager to please as Gunner is, upon command he will sit, lay and stay. Gunner doesn’t ask for much at all but will happily accept tons of love and a good belly scratch. In return he will give you all the kisses you want and unconditional love. He hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet but we are hoping to see this change. He will play with you by running by your side and plopping down for a full body scratch. Just call his name and he will come running with a signature bulldog full body wag. He may not know why you are calling him but he won’t wait around to find out. Gunner gets along good with his foster puppy brother even though he hasn’t quite figured out how to play with him. He thinks its fun to run along side the pup while the pup chases and grabs the toys. We think he may learn a thing or two from the pup about what these toy things are and how much fun they can be! Gunner LOVES people of all ages and just wants to be right next to his people and be loved on. He doesn’t discriminate and will happily take a little loving on from the youngest of kids up to the most life experienced of adults. To him, love is love and that’s all that matters. He is very gentle and will only jump in your lap or on the furniture if he is invited to come sit with you. He hasn’t shown any possessiveness toward anything including food, crate, his favorite people, toys or bones. Gunner even met a cat yesterday and just walked the other way. We brought him back over to it to make sure he did indeed see it. He did, but he just quickly smelt it and turned back around to us for a little petting and love. 8/9/2015 Update: Gunner has had another perfect week as to be expected from such a sweet boy. He is the perfect house guest with no potty accidents and no destruction of anything. He is still very calm and relaxed and just wants to be loved on for the rest of his life. Gunner has yet to meet a person he doesn’t like but he did happen to meet some this weekend that he really likes. One look at this sweet bully face and he will just melt your heart. If you can’t tell by the pictures he kind of has his foster parents wrapped around his little paw, especially his foster daddy. Gunner is still pretty quite and doesn’t ask for much except a little love and attention. Do you have some extra love to spare and maybe a good belly rubbing hands?
