Hank The Bulldog

Hank The Bulldog

There’s a perfect family for every Bulldog, and for Hank the Bulldog, that family is Kristen and Jason.

One year ago this month, Hank the Bulldog came to rescue, legally blind and with limited hearing. Despite being only 4 years old, he had endured years of neglect and lack of veterinary care, leaving him with serious medical challenges.

Kristen and Jason had never fostered a Bulldog before, but they were ready for the challenge. Countless hours, endless patience, and lots of love later, Hank the Bulldog started to feel at home.

Was it easy? Absolutely not. Hank the Bulldog is big and strong, and navigating unfamiliar places was often overwhelming, leading him to collapse and rely on Jason to carry him. But through it all, their bond only grew stronger.

As Hank the Bulldog learned to navigate his world, he also worked his way into their hearts.

Today, Kristen and Jason can’t imagine life without their sweet Bulldog. Hank the Bulldog has found his home, even though, in his heart, he always knew he was home with them.

Hank the Bulldog was ready to join rescue. He had packed his dog crate, food bowls and blanket, and then headed out the door.

At only 3 years old, Hank the Bulldog has some medical issues that need to be addressed.

His wrinkles have wrinkles, which prevents him from opening his eyes very wide. Upon an eye inspection, he seems to have severe dry eye, causing limited vision in both eyes. Hank the Bulldog will walk right into anything. Plus, Hank the Bulldog’s ear canals seem to be closed.

Hank the Bulldog is a medical mess, but he knows better days are ahead for him. He’s looking forward to visiting with Dr. Larsen and the ophthalmologist.

Hank the Bulldog is a sweet as can be and deserves to be feeling better soon.

We got ya, Hank the Bulldog. We hope everyone follows your journey through rescue and hopefully one day, you’ll be able to see clearly again.

2/20/24 Update:  Say hello to Hank the Bulldog! This gorgeous hunk is only 3 years old. He just arrived at his foster home for a little R&R after Doc helped him lose that lovin’ feeling. He also had a few nips and tucks (those aren’t just for celebrities!) to remove extra skin around his eyes to help him see better. Get those apps in fast ~ you may be his perfect match!

2/23/24 Update:  Hank the Bulldog saw Doc today and got his stitches out, so he’s now ready for a family. Is it yours? This gorgeous hunk is quickly becoming a neighborhood celebrity – cars even stop and people get out to meet him!

4/9/24 Update:  Hank has been a wonderful house guest. He is very laid back and gets along with the other pups. He takes all his medicines like a champ. He doesn’t see or hear that well, but that doesn’t stop him from being the sweetest boy.

He loves belly rubs, taking naps and he loves playing with balls. The usually calm and laid-back guy, but if there’s a ball around, all bets are off! We can’t wait to see everyone today at the Pizza Paw-ty at Campisi’s in Rockwall!
