I’m here with the best news ever: today was my adoption day! My new mom is Dayna, my new dad is John and my new fur brother is Moose.

I met my new family on Saturday, and it was love at first sight. They loved me from the second they saw me, and I loved them too.

There were a lot of tears when they were talking to me about their Bulldog, Tiny Dancer. She had crossed the Rainbow Bridge and left them brokenhearted.

If I could talk, I would have told them that I understood how sad they’ve been. I tried to make them understand by licking them and dancing around. I know I will never replace Tiny Dancer, but I have so much love to give. I am going to help their broken hearts heal.

I am super excited about my new family and about having a brother. My new family has beds all over the house, dog toys everywhere and a Gator that will take us up and down the street to visit the neighbors. They have more love for Bulldogs than the law allows. I am super excited to be part of the best Bulldog family I’ve ever met and so excited they chose me!

No sad stories for me. My parents bought my brother and me two years ago, when we were 8-week-old puppies.  We grew up together and enjoyed lots of love and attention. It was fun times.

But over the last few months, we decided we both wanted all of our mom’s attention. When she sat down, we both wanted to sit with her. And that became a big problem. The fights started, the time-outs were more frequent and neither one of us wanted to just walk away.

Looking back now, I wish one of us would have just walked away. There was enough love in the family for both of us… with even some left over. But, they don’t call us Bulldogs “bullheaded” for no reason.

This morning, with lots of tears, my family took me to the local animal shelter. They told Mr. Mark there to find me a fabulous family where I do not have to compete with my brother for attention.

Shoot, I never even left the lobby before Mr. Mark had called rescue. He knew just who to call to make sure my next family will be amazing.

Within the hour, even before lunch was served, the rescue wagon rolled up and picked up me, my bed and my belongings and off I rode.

10/1/21 Update:  Hey everyone in case you didn’t know today is World Smile Day and I came to the pumpkin patch to show you just how beautiful my smile is. I have been laying low in my foster home getting to know everyone and so far everyone has been so nice to me.

I have a favorite bed and 99.9% of the time that is where you will find me.  I do venture out from my bed on occasion, but if I see another bulldog thinking about sitting in my bed I run like a speeding bullet back to sit in it.  I will even let them sit in my bed with me but most time they just wander on off.

I am searching for my new home now and I need one that loves a beautiful brindle, has big fat beds and lot’s of treats.   So ya’ll all celebrate World Smile Day and if you see someone without a smile, give them yours.  That will make their day!
