Herky and Bea have been adopted!! Herky and Bea would not stop being around Monty and Criss. It was so nice that Bea came out of her shell. They were smitten with them from the start. Herky & Bea couldn’t wait to go on a nice walk around our amenity center trail. You have to expect to be stopped by people and talk it up taking any Bulldog for a walk let alone two. They seemed to enjoy Herky’s fascination with reflections off watches. He will chase he light like cats do! Even though we had them for a short time we loved every moment of it. So thankful for Monty and Criss wanting to take on a couple. Until we meet again Herky and Bea…
Bea and Herky joined our rescue family together today. They are both 6 years old and came from the same family, but are not litter mates. Their owner has been going through a number of personal difficulties and had to move out of state and was not able to take the dogs with her. She left them temporarily with a family member who already had three dogs to care for. When the owner was unable to return for them, and the family member could no longer care for them, they reached out to rescue. Both dogs are just the sweetest brindles and have been well cared for. We received several pages of vet records, blankets, a box of toys, medicines and other items for them. While we would love for them to be fostered and adopted together, that is not a requirement.
3/26/17 Update: Hello rescue followers I’m Herky, Let me introduce myself. If you are looking for a 60+ pounds of love you can quit looking! That’s right I am 6yrs old and love rubbing against you for some attention. I am so quite you might forget I’m in your home. I don’t get on furniture and just enjoy a blanket or bed to lay in. I am house broken and don’t like the taste of furniture. I haven’t meet any other pups or people that I couldn’t befriend. My foster pops was in love with me from the get go. He was supposed to take me and my sister Bea to a boarding place from our vet visit. Needless to say I got a new foster home on the drive there. I received a good brushing and now free of all that extra undercoat. Got a nice bath and showed him thanks with a cuddle session. I am getting used to the new home, but would love to find my furever home. If you have room I wouldn’t mind you adopting my sister Bea as well. Hopefully be seeing you soon. Your hunk of love, Herky.
4/13/17 Update: Hello everyone … how you doing? It’s me, Herky! I am finally getting nestled in to my new foster home and can tell you more about myself. I have almost got my foster pops eating out of my paw. Give me a week or two more, and I’m sure I will get him completely trained. I am a lovable fellow who just wants some affection. I enjoy long stretches across cold floors, shorts walks to the food bowl, and an occasional blanket in which to wrap myself. I’m looking for a wonderful family that can loose themselves in my big brown eyes. Taking baths is no problem for me and I definitely enjoy being dried off with a towel. If you are fearful of a loud Bulldog, no worries with me. I’m like a ninja ~ just a little wider and more cuddly. If you would like to meet me or another foster dog, the first step is to submit an adoption application through our website.
