9/6/2025 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Holy Ghost to our rescue family. She writes: You might recognize me… I’ve made the rounds on social media. If they still put faces on milk cartons, mine would’ve been front and center.
I was picked up by animal control on a brutally hot day. Lost, alone and overheated.
Everyone at the shelter was sure my family would come for me.
“Any minute now,” they said.
So I waited. I watched the door.
But no one ever came.
After several days, the sad truth set in — no one was looking for me.
I’m a tiny little Bulldog, weighing just 24 pounds. My body tells the story of a mama who’s had more than her share of puppies, and my teeth? Well… they’re barely there — worn down to little nubs, right at the gums. But don’t worry. I still enjoyed every bite of my Fresh Pet meal yesterday. It was soft, yummy and made me feel so much better.
I also had my first leash-walking attempt. Well, it was more of a tangle than a stroll. I went one way, Mona went the other. She says I’ll get the hang of it, but for now? I’m perfectly happy being carried like the tiny queen I am. 👑
There’s still a lot for me to learn and discover, but one thing’s for sure: the hard part is behind me, and brighter days are ahead.
9/9/25 UPDATE: From foster girl Holy Ghost: Just wanted to let everyone know that I am now officially 100% ready for my next family! I got all my booster shots today, and that was the last thing on my to-do list before I could start the search for my happily ever after. ✅
Big news: I’ve mastered walking on a leash (go me!), and little by little, I’m learning what it means to be part of a family. I still get nervous sometimes and feel the urge to hide, but we’re taking it one day at a time. And that pace is just right for me. 💕
Oh, and if you’re dreaming of a Bulldog you can carry around like a little sidekick… look no further. I’m purse-sized and proud. And honestly, I’d love nothing more than to be carried everywhere like the royalty I am.
So if you’re the patient, loving type with room in your arms and your heart, I just might be your girl.
