Honey Bear

Honey Bear

Ivan made the trip all the way from San Angelo to meet the one and only Honey Bear this past Sunday, and let’s just say it was instant chemistry!

From the moment they met, Honey Bear worked her charm, showing Ivan just how funny, loving, and full of personality she really is.

Of course, she didn’t stop there—Honey Bear made sure Ivan knew she’s got a lot to say, especially when it comes to treat time!

She was practically talking him into handing over those snacks, and I’m pretty sure she had him laughing the whole time. It’s safe to say, Honey Bear nailed her audition!

And as for the picture? Well, Honey Bear was just too excited about the treats to sit still long enough for a good shot!

But hey, that’s just her enthusiasm shining through!

Please welcome Honey Bear to rescue! Honey Bear came from a Fort Worth shelter where she sat for days waiting for her family. No one showed up.

Honey Bear is about 4 years old, a healthy 45 pounds, heart worm negative, and appears to be spayed! A rarity coming into rescue! It looks like Honey Bear was taken care of most of her life! So where is her family and why was she in the shelter? We may never know.

What we do know is she entered rescue on Valentine’s Day and what better day to find people who will forever love her.

Honey Bear does appear to have some eye issues and once those are addressed and she gets checked out she will be on the look out for a furever family.

3/7/25 Update:  Honey Bear is a sweet, middle-aged lady with a heart full of love! She gets bursts of energy with little zoomies, followed by long, peaceful naps. Now that her two-week isolation is over, she’s slowly been meeting the rest of the pack, and she’s been doing wonderfully!
