Hulk

Hulk

I just wanted to let you know that my furever family has found me. My meet and greet was on Feb. 21 and my new parents and my new friend, Addie Lou, fell in love with me! I mean, they didn’t have a chance once they took one look at me. I am darn handsome! I was officially adopted that day, but I got to stay a little while longer with Foster Mom and Dad. My new mom and dad wanted to get my room ready at home and have time off from work so I can adjust to my new surroundings. Well, Dad picked me up on Thursday, and I was so happy to see him. After my things were loaded up in the car, I said my goodbyes and gave lots of kisses to Foster Mom. I told her I would keep in touch and thank you for taking care of me. My first night home, Addie was showing me around and even taught me how to use the doggie door. Dad even slept with me in the living room so I wouldn’t be scared.

Here are pics of my family, my new room and my first bath. Dad was telling me stories, so I am looking forward to more story times with Dad.  💜Hulk

My dad was an Avengers fan and The Incredible Hulk was his favorite superhero. The Hulk was big and strong, and I am big and strong! And full of wrinkles… just not green!

My dad had to make a tough decision when it came to me joining rescue. He loved me all my life, but some changes in our family happened and he felt the best thing for me was to join rescue. He decided I needed to find a family that will love me just as much as he does.

We packed up all my food and other supplies, and now I’m at the vet clinic with Dr. Larsen. She and her staff will give me a full checkup and some lap-time.

I have some allergies and I need eye medicine. I also hear that I will have surgery to remove “the boys.” Not quite sure what that means, but I am brave. Plus, the lady who picked me up from dad said she would hold my paw.

My coat is super soft and I have a big squishy face. I love people, kids and other dogs. I am a social, but very mellow Bulldog. I like short walks, hanging out at the dog park or just sitting with you. I am house/kennel trained and I bark or talk when I am hungry or need to go out. I will be turning 8 in March, and I am one handsome Bulldog.

I will be ready soon for my foster home. I’ll then start looking for a family to spoil me. If you are missing a special Bulldog in your life, please complete an application. You may be the perfect match for me!

1/16/20 Update:  This guy is fabulous! He is 7 years old and weighs 62 lbs. Big, macho and loves a squeaky toy! Hulk is in very good health. He has been very well taken care of all his life. But sometimes life takes a turn and you just can’t turn with it. Lucky for us, he joined rescue!

He’s a quiet man, but certainly knows where he wants to go and where he doesn’t. And no one is arguing with him. He’ll come over and give you a kiss and then turn his bum to you. Mysterious and aloft, that’s Hulk. Reminds me of all the men I wanted and never could get. LOL!

Picture day was hilarious with him. He wanted up on the sofa, so he put his feet up on it, then looked around, as if to say, “Hey, get that other end for me, Sweetie.” Of course, just like those men I talked about, I did it for him.

He’s a natural. He sat, stood and laid. He can sit on command. That is the one thing he will do, even if he doesn’t want to. When we finished, I held out a treat, he jumped off the sofa, took it and walked away. I just smiled and shook my head, as he lumbered down the hall. There I go again losing another good man. I felt like I had just worked with Brad Pitt.

Hulk is great! He has a huge head, feet and nose rope. He also looked at me all day like I was boring him. That’s when I knew he was Bulldog through and through.

So, if you men are looking for a manly guy and you women are looking for Brad Pitt, then Hulk may be the Bulldog for both of you.

2/17/20 Update:   I had a great time at our Bulldog Bonanza last Sunday at Campisi’s. It was my first public event and there was pizza involved… Sign me up for the next one! I got to meet a lot of people and a bunch of new Bulldog friends. I even had my picture taken for Valentine’s Day! Speaking of which, I hope you all had a happy Valentine’s Day. This hunk… I mean, this Hulk will see you at today’s Bulldog Birthday Party at BoomerJack’s in Fairview. I wonder what food I will get to eat there?
