Jellybean Julie

Jellybean Julie

When you know it’s right, you know it’s right!

From the very first meeting Jellybean Julie was just “goo goo” for her new mom and dad. She jumped and played in excitement. They brought her treats and a pink squeaky ball that became her new favorite.

Then, it was time for them to go, except they promised to be back.

And that’s exactly what they did. This time with a new collar and leash, and the car full of toys and love. Jellybean Julie didn’t even look back to say goodbye. She knows her new life is going to be the one she has always dreamed of!

When a local animal services officer picked up Jellybean Julie, her two cherry eyes were so large, she couldn’t see where she was going, She was wandering out and about, feeling her away around town wearing her purple collar.

She was more than happy to hop in the front seat of the officer’s car. It had been raining, she was lost and she was hungry.

Everyone at the shelter hoped her family would come looking for her. But as the days turned into weeks, it was obvious Jellybean Julie no longer had a home.

On Tuesday, Jellybean Julie was spayed and had her eyes fixed at the shelter. She wasn’t quite sure which end hurt the worst, but now she’s on the road to recovery.

Jellybean Julie is tiny, underweight and is looking for a family who will never lose her again. Welcome to a great life, Jellybean Julie!

6/7/24 Update:  Jellybean takes her part-time office assistant job very seriously. Her favorite parts are lunch and clocking out.

6/14/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie is settling into her foster home. She loves to snuggle and be close, but also has a spunky side.

This little lady is potty trained, walks great on a leash and loves to play. She can keep herself occupied with toys. She’s not a fan of sharing her toys, though.

Jellybean Julie will need to be in a firm home. She’s smart and does better when she knows the rules.

When meeting other dogs, she likes to puff her chest. You may prep for a fight because she wants to be in charge. Once boundaries are set, she’s much better.

This little cutie deserves a home full of love.

6/27/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie had a great weekend and took a little vacation. She enjoyed her time sniffing around the trees, dipping her paws into the pond and chasing bunnies.

7/5/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie is such a fun girl. She loves toys and easily entertains herself. We’ve been working on sharing them, though.

She’s much better at allowing the resident Bulldog around her when she’s playing. She also enjoys a good snooze.

7/11/24 Update:  This girl is the complete package. She’s all the energy and snuggles you need. She loves her outside time just as much as her indoor time.

7/18/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie had another great week! She’s been working on her toy-sharing skills. She’d love a home with a larger dog that will help keep her in line. She’s smart and willing to learn. She’s also potty trained, loves to walk and play. She’d be happy to be your sidekick while running errands or working, and she’s equally happy to just snuggle.

7/25/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie has been enjoying these cooler temperatures. She spent time exploring and patrolling the backyard. She even snuck in enough time for a nap!

9/31/24 Update:  While foster mom was out of town I got to hangout with the “grand pup.” He’s a lot bigger than I am. No worries there. It took him no time to realize that I can be lots of fun as long as I’m in charge. We wrestled, chased the ball, played with toys, and barked at all things that needed to know we could see them. It was so much fun.

9/12/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie had a great week. Even though she likes to be the boss, she does get along with other dogs. She even waits patiently when a neighbor stops to talk. With the cooler weather coming, she’s wishing for an active family to include her in their activities.

9/20/24 Update:  Jellybean Julie loves toys and playing. Here she is trying to get the lazy one to play.

10/4/24 Update:  Jellybean is anxiously awaiting someone to adopt her and play ball with her.
