Jimmy

Hey all, it’s me…Jimmy.  Let me tell you, I am loving life here in rescue.  My foster mom picked me up at the Dallas pound when my previous owners dropped me off at the night drop.  I wasn’t well taken care of in my early life.  When my foster mom first got me home, she made me take a bath.  Let me tell you, I don’t know why the other bullies in the house complain about baths, I loved it!  What’s not to love about getting a massage while getting clean?  My mom said my fur felt like straw and I was too thin.  So now, my foster mom is trying to fatten me up.  I love to eat, and I especially love all the extra treats she slips me for being a good boy.

They took me to the vet to have my front leg looked at and get a check up.  The doc said I had an upper respiratory infection and I have arthritis in my leg.  They now have me taking medicine for both.  I will probably always be on medicine to help with my gimpy leg.  My sniffles are starting to go away, so the next step will be something called neutering.  I’m not sure what it is, but I hope there are treats involved.

They keep calling me a “senior” but I don’t quite understand why.  Don’t let the limp fool you, I’m a very spry 6 years old thank you very much.

I’ve spent most of my life outside, so I didn’t know there were things such as “indoor” rules and “outdoor” rules.  I used to mark in my foster mom’s house, but don’t do that anymore…unless I forget once in a while.  What’s a guy to do?  My mom says I’m doing much better though so I don’t have to wear that stupid belly band.

I really like my foster mom. She says she should have named me “Glue” as I like to stick close to her when she is home.  I sometimes bark if she puts me in my crate when she’s going to leave.  I just want her to know that I’m going to miss her.

I get along with the two other bullies in the house.  I find the cat very interesting, but he doesn’t stay still long enough for us to properly meet.  I’m current in all my shots and will be neutered and available for adoption soon.  If you’re looking for a handsome loving bully, then I’m your man! My adoption fee is $400.
