The best gifts any rescue dog could ask for is a family and a home. And Jojo’s wish came true this weekend!
During the meet and greet, Jojo walked into the home, checked out everything she could, and made herself right at home. She jumped on the couch and laid down like she owned the place! Jojo put on the charm and the DeGracia family quickly realized Jojo was their girl.
Jojo also showed her naughty/persistent side as she was doing her best to climb over the back side of the couch to get the snacks on the table (the table is where her skin brother keeps his snacks). I have a feeling Jojo soon will be best friends with her new skin brother. He has the best snacks!
As soon as I entered the DeGracia’s home, I knew Jojo was one lucky girl. The DeGracia family adopted the very handsome Diego last year from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue and both pups quickly hit it off.
I fell in love with Jojo from the very beginning. She knows she is very special girl and she deserves a very special family! This Christmas, she received just that: a very special family.
Many thanks to our volunteer Sonia for dropping everything today to pick up a Bulldog in need in Fort Worth. Please welcome Jojo Dancer to our family.
Sonia shares: Jojo Dancer is one lucky girl!
Jojo was saved by a couple of kids as they were walking by her home. The owner was outside and while the kids were asking about her, the man simply says, “You want her? Go ahead and take her!”
Not knowing what they were getting into, the kids brought Jojo home to their mom.
The mom was horrified because Jojo was in pretty bad shape and she had no idea how to help her.
From the looks of her, Jojo appears to have have been fed, but it’s also apparent that she’s lived outside for quite some time.
The mom reached out to several rescues and we swooped in to save her. She was hot, dirty and covered in ticks from head to toe. She will be headed to the vet clinic soon to get some much needed TLC.
We need more foster families to help us temporarily care for dogs like Jojo Dancer! Message us if you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and are ready to become a lifesaver.
10/10 23 Update: Jojo Dancer visited the pumpkin patch at Puckett’s Nursery and made some new friends during her first weekend in her foster home.
You may not recognize Jojo…. she’s the one who was saved in August by a couple of kids as they walked by her home and the owner told them to take her. She was absolutely covered in ticks at the time, but now, she’s happier and healthier!
11/24/23 Update: Pictures do not do this girl justice and this foster mom would keep her to myself if I could! Those who met her at Campisi’s last weekend know what I’m talking about! She either had you laughing or walking the other direction scared. HA!
Jojo is the sassiest, back talking and vocal when appropriate pup! If she wants something, she is gonna let you know. She is so full of love and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She’s house trained, but will stress poop. She also has loved all the pups she has met! She is a big ol’ goof ball and very playful.
Jojo met the grand baby (2 years old) and the Frenchie grand dog and she was perfect! She played really well with the Frenchie and well, the grand baby got knocked down a few times, but Jojo was very sweet with her.
Jojo does not realize she is 75 pounds! You can’t tell her she is too big to be a lap pup. I mean, you can… but she may not listen.
She would love to find a furever lap!
