7/22/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: It was a long journey for our lovable, huggable, absolutely adorable Journey Sage… but she finally made it home.
We’re thrilled to announce that Journey Sage has been adopted!
Journey Sage came into rescue on Christmas Eve. While her Christmas wish took a little longer than expected, it finally came true in the very best way.
She found an incredible family with Jessie and Billy, along with her handsome Bulldog brother, Switzer. Having loved, and heartbreakingly lost, several beloved Bulldogs over the years, Jessie and Billy knew their home (and Switzer’s heart) wasn’t quite complete until they found the perfect new sibling.
We couldn’t be happier that Journey Sage’s path led her exactly where she was always meant to be. Her story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best happily-ever-afters are simply worth the wait.
Congratulations to Journey Sage, Jessie, Billy and Switzer! Wishing your family a lifetime of snuggles, adventures and unconditional love.

12/24/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Journey Sage to our rescue family! She writes: Bulldog friends, it’s Christmas Eve, and tonight marks the start of a gentler, hopeful new beginning for me.
I left the farm with my mama because, even though I’ve got a little extra fluff, I ran faster than she did. I hopped into the rescue wagon before she could, marched myself straight to the passenger seat, and there I stayed.
While waiting, I saw an ad for Spanx and thought, Now that’s exactly what I need. Sadly, I must report that Spanx could not contain this gal. Not only were they a challenge to get on, but they didn’t hold a thing in. Very disappointing.
My birthday is April 26, 2022. I recently had a visitor named Ms. Laura, who came to see if she could lift me once I’m ready for foster care. I weigh a solid 90 pounds. I told her I was hoping to lose a little weight someday, but for now I’m big and wide. She just laughed. She wanted me to sit in her lap, but I chose to stare at her instead. I felt a bath was needed before we reached that level of friendship.
It’s important everyone knows I wasn’t an indoor Bulldog. I was a kennel Bulldog, so house rules are brand new to me. Please be patient. I’m still learning, and accidents might happen. My mama is Koko Lovebug. She’s much more confident than I am, but I’m working hard and learning how to walk on a leash today.
The struggle is real… but so is the journey.

4/29/26 UPDATE ~ HR says she’s “not on payroll,” but foster girl Journey Sage strongly disagrees. Her current work-from-home duties include foot warming, morale boosting and crumb patrol. Meet this overachiever at our Bulldog Bonanza at The London Baker on May 17 in Lewisville. See you there!
6/6/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Journey Sage met some of her fans recently! They recognized her before she even walked through the door and were still laughing about that video of her trying (and failing) not to fall off a chair. 
6/11/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Journey Sage is ready to fill the role of perfect snuggle buddy!
This sweet girl is a professional couch companion, expert blanket sharer and champion sofa snuggler. Journey Sage has an endless supply of love to give and nothing makes her happier than spending time with her people.
She’s ready to trade foster life for her next home where she can shower her family with affection and enjoy all the cuddles she deserves.

Sweet Journey Sage has been with us since Christmas Eve, and after months of patiently waiting, she’s hoping this could finally be her Christmas in July.
Journey Sage has so much love to give. She’s been patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is… for a family to choose her, cherish her and give her the home she’s been dreaming of.
This beautiful girl has waited long enough. Let’s grant Journey Sage’s wish and give her the greatest gift of all: a family to call her very own. We’ll make this July the happiest Christmas Journey Sage has ever known. ♥
