June Bug Boone

9/26/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From June Bug Boone: Well, everyone… the day I’ve been dreaming about has finally come!

After spending more than six months in rescue resting, healing and recovering, I finally have a family of my very own!

When I first arrived at my foster home, I was told I needed lots of rest and time to recover. So that’s exactly what I did. I slept… a LOT! And while I was sleeping, I dreamed about what my future might look like. I dreamed of a family who would love me, spoil me and call me their very own.

Then one day, foster mom told me something very exciting…

Someone was traveling a long way just to meet me and take me home!

When we finally met at the meet-and-greet and adoption, I knew almost immediately. The moment I saw my new mom and dad, my heart knew they were my people. And they felt the exact same way!

It was meant to be.

Now I’m headed to my new life in the Houston area, where my new mom promises I’ll be spoiled with LOTS of love, cuddles and treats! And I certainly plan on holding her to that promise.

Before I left, foster mom made sure my new family knew all my favorite things. She even packed some of my favorite snacks for the trip! And she carefully folded up my favorite blanket and tucked it safely into my bag for the long journey home.

I’m leaving my foster home with a full heart, a cozy blanket, some yummy snacks and the biggest dream of all…

A FAMILY. ❤️

I think it’s safe to say: Dreams really do come true.

3/13/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome June Bug Boone to our rescue family! She writes: I’m a 3-year-old girl who just arrived in rescue this week. I was supposed to be the only one leaving the farm, but at the last minute my best buddy T. Boone Pickens decided he wasn’t letting me go anywhere without him and jumped right into the rescue wagon too!

I’ve had puppies before, and I’m proud to say I was a wonderful Bulldog mama. But that chapter of my life is behind me now. My days of raising babies are over, and I’m ready to focus on being someone’s beloved companion.

Now, I should tell you something important about me. I am not a laid-back Bulldog. I’ve got energy! I run just about everywhere I go. Think of me like the Energizer Bunny… but in Bulldog form. Because of that, I’m looking for a more active family who will enjoy walks, playtime and spending time with me.

Life on the farm meant there wasn’t always someone who could spend a lot of time with me. But when they did, it was the best feeling in the world. I would soak up every second and sit perfectly still while they scratched behind my ears. Those quiet moments meant everything to me.

So I’ll be honest. If you’re looking for a low-energy Bulldog, I’m probably not your girl. I wouldn’t be happy, and neither would you. But if you enjoy long walks, an active companion and have the patience to teach me some basic indoor manners, then you just might be the perfect match for me.

While dogs like me wait to find the right families, we rely on foster homes. If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please consider becoming a foster volunteer. The rescue covers all veterinary care and you provide the safe home, love and guidance while we prepare for our next chapter.

Opening your home, even temporarily, helps save lives and gives Bulldogs like me a chance to succeed. If you’re interested in fostering, please message us today. We’d love to have you on the team!

8/3/26 UDPATE ~ From the foster momma: June Bug Boone has completely stolen our hearts. She’s the gentlest girl you could ever meet and has settled in beautifully with my resident senior pup, Emerie (aka Moo Moo). They get along wonderfully, and it’s been so nice watching June Bug Boone feel more comfortable each day.

When Dianne asked me to foster June Bug Boone, I knew she was recovering from heartworm treatment. That means keeping life nice and calm. No zoomies, no rough play and finishing up all of her medications exactly as the vet ordered.

Well, I think June Bug Boone understood the assignment! She has been the perfect patient, happily lounging around, soaking up the love and getting plenty of rest while her body heals. Best of all, she’s doing great in her recovery and continues to make wonderful progress every day.

Now, don’t let all that resting fool you. When it’s mealtime or treat time, she’s up and ready in a flash! She definitely hasn’t lost her appetite and those little moments of excitement are pretty adorable.

If all continues to go as planned, June Bug Boone should be ready for her next home in about a month. We can’t wait for the day she’s fully healed and ready to begin her next chapter with a family of her own.

Thank you all for cheering her on and supporting her journey. She’s one very special girl!

9/926 UDPATE ~From foster girl June Bug Boone: I know, I know… I’ve been a little quiet lately. I’ve been out of the spotlight for a while, but guess what?

I’M BACK, BABY! And I’m ready to shine my way right into my next home!

A little while back, my humans told me I needed to take it easy while I recovered from something called heartworms. I didn’t really understand what that meant. All I knew was that I wasn’t feeling my best, so I did exactly what the doctor ordered.

Wow~ resting is HARD WORK when you’re a social butterfly like me! But I was a very good girl and rested for a whole month.

Now Foster Mom says I’m ready for my next big adventure: FINDING MY FAMILY!

I thought I had already hit the jackpot when I landed here at Miller Manor. I mean, there are people, snacks, pets, belly rubs, and even a resident bulldog. What more could a girl want? But Foster Mom says there’s an even better place out there somewhere. A family of my very own. A family who will love me to the moon and back.

So, I’m putting myself out there and hoping my next family sees just how wonderful I am!

My foster mom’s granddaughter has officially declared me a CUDDLE BUG. And honestly? She is absolutely correct. Cuddling is one of my many talents. I LOVE being close to my people. Give me a comfy spot, some loving pets, and someone to snuggle next to, and I’m one happy Bulldog.

But cuddling isn’t my only special skill. MEALTIME is one of my FAVORITE activities! I’ve discovered that when the resident dog decides she’s finished eating, I get to perform a very important community service:
THE CLEAN-UP CREW!

Foster Mom says I’m such a smart girl. I’ve even mastered the doggy door, so I can go in and out all by myself.
And Foster Mom doesn’t keep me kenneled because… I’M AN ESCAPE ARTIST!

But before you think I’m planning some great getaway, let me explain.
I don’t want to escape to cause trouble.
I just want OUT so I can be WITH EVERYONE!
Why would I want to sit by myself when there are humans to love?

I get along great with the resident Bulldog, too. We have a pretty good arrangement. She makes the mess.
I clean it up. It’s called teamwork, people.

So here I am:
June Bug Boone. Bulldog. Cuddle Bug. Professional Snack Cleaner. Doggy-Door Expert. Part-Time Escape Artist. Full-Time Lover Girl.

All I really want is a family of my own… someone who will love me, snuggle me, and let me be their shadow for the rest of my days.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some cuddling to do.
June Bug Boone OUT.
