8/17/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: Juniper’s happily-ever-after has officially begun!
After waiting patiently for her perfect match, Juniper’s big day finally came — and it couldn’t have been more magical. Paul and Max made the 3+ hour drive to meet her, and the moment they walked in, it was pure love.
Max sat down and Juniper melted right into his lap. Then, as if to impress her new family, she showed off her athletic moves, bouncing around the room with joy — we’d never seen her so excited! She showered Max with kisses, and he couldn’t get enough of her affection.
Juniper has officially traded rescue life for family life. She now has a loving dad, a human brother, and even her very own grandma! Best of all? No more sharing attention with fur siblings. This girl gets to soak up all the love for herself.
Happy life, sweet Juniper. Your new chapter is just beginning, and it’s already filled with love. 💗

INTRODUCTION: I’m new here, just arrived from the shelter after a long 72 hours there, but I’m finally free. My family didn’t respond, and honestly, that’s OK – maybe this is all working out in my favor after all.
I have to admit, I was pretty excited to ride in a new truck and meet some new friends. But the best part of yesterday was getting my new name! The kind woman who picked me up said “Juniper” suits me perfectly. I feel like it’s the start of something wonderful – rescue is going to help me bloom and grow into a healthy, happy girl!
I do have a few health concerns at the moment. Once I slim down just a bit, I’ll be going to the vet clinic for hip surgery. I also need treatment for heartworms. I know those things might not be the most fun, but once I’m all better, I’ll be able to run and jump with the big dogs, and life will be peachy keen. I’ve definitely got the energy; I just need a little time to build up the stamina!
2/7/25 UPDATE: Juniper is a very chill girl! She is relaxing, getting ready for her spay tomorrow. She is a gal who likes to be with her people.
2/20/25 UPDATE: Juniper is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy! She loves her chew toys and has just the right amount of personality to keep things fun.
3/7/25 UPDATE: Juniper is an absolute lovebug—a true wiggle worm! She walks, wiggles, and just wants to snuggle right into your lap.
Lately, Juniper has started testing her boundaries with the other pups in the house, trying to assert herself a bit more. She’s not an “only dog” type, but she’s finding that she doesn’t always mesh well with other dominant dogs. It seems she’s starting to resource guard her human and the affection she gets. While she responds well to correction, it’s a little tricky when it comes to dealing with her timidness.
3/14/25 UPDATE: This girl just had her FHO (hip) surgery and she’s staying with us for a few days of recovery and rehab. She is just a doll. She has this sensitive, sweet persona with a sparkle of curiosity and a little mischief in her eyes. She’ll possess you with her stare.
She’s not thrilled about crate rest but She’s been eating well and taking her meds like candy. She wears her support harness for potty breaks and is great about letting us know when she needs to go out.
She is quite a special lady with the cutest little underbite. No matter how many great photos or videos we post, one can never fully see an animals charm or personality until you meet them.
3/20/25 UPDATE: Juniper has been a wonderful guest while staying with us. Her incision is healing nicely. She has been putting weight on her surgical limb consistently and enjoys working on her gentle exercises (and the treats, of course!). She loves her daily Assisi PEMF therapy treatments. But she mainly loves her one-on-one time with people ~ especially when it involves lounging on the sun porch.
5/1/25 UPDATE Juniper is a sweet and affectionate girl with a lot of love to give. I’ve been observing her temperament, and while she’s generally very loving, she does show a bit of a bossy streak with other dogs.
She seems to be mildly leash- and gate-reactive. For example, during a visit to Campisi’s, she walked nicely on a leash as long as other dogs were several feet away. However, when another dog got too close, she became a bit mouthy. A similar pattern occurs at home—she may react at gates when other dogs are nearby, especially if she hasn’t met them yet. That said, once she’s had a proper introduction, she does well—particularly with more submissive dogs.
A good example is her interaction with foster boy Hulk Hogan. When he first arrived about three weeks ago, Juniper was reactive at the gate. I assessed Hulk’s temperament with the other dogs, and after a few days, I allowed them to meet. She was thrilled and behaved perfectly with him from then on.
She has clashed a bit with a few dominant personalities, but she responds very well to gentle corrections if caught early. With the right management and proper introductions, Juniper does great in a multi-dog environment.
7/2/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Juniper is on the hunt for her unicorn family!
This beautiful girl would thrive as the only furry companion in the home. She’s incredibly affectionate with people and loves being the center of attention—but she prefers to keep the spotlight all to herself.
Juniper can be a bit bossy with other dogs and isn’t a candidate for dog parks or group playdates. That said, she walks well on a leash in public and minds her manners—as long as other dogs respect her space.
